Technically anything besides TM guns are clones, since TM made the gearbox. Clones are fine.

Quite. I've had my Dboys AK for over a year now and I've had minimal problems with it. Accuracy is pretty good and the exteriors are all steel and wood.

Those of you who wear uniform patches- do you attach them with velcro or permanently iron/sew them on? I ask because I've got a pair of Stargate patches I'm considering affixing to my TRU, and while it would be nice for them to be removable I'm concerned that if I use velcro it'll look like shit.

are you sure the bucking isnt torn and flopping around in the hopup? I dont see how a highcap could cause the problem. But you should still get a couple mid caps eventually.

Hold your hand in front of the barrel (with it empty of course) and dry fire it. Dont plug the barrel with your finger or anything that can cause serious damage. Just fire it on full auto and see if air comes out every time.

Me thinks its some kind of hopup or air seal issue.

    Custom tactical pistol grip

    Edited:

Usually found on sport rifles (to help keep grip height or something), which are built so you can fire the same shot from the same stance on competitions, I don't know why anyone would put that on a military rifle

The rail is the only thing you should have difficulty getting. Like all the cool Diemaco shit like Triad rails. The closest you'll probably get to that is a Mk.12.

I believe E1's SCAR is a rebranded DBoys.
My friend has the DBoys and I like it, it feels pretty solid, nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't like left handed people with slings.

I would go with Dboys as internals are the easiest thing to replace. With Dboys you will get great externals with good internals, that way you can upgrade the internals as you see fit while having a great looking gun.

I wish I got a Dboys but they gun I wanted was only in stock with CYMA.

As a point of interest, how do you guys carry bbs?

I don't have many mags. So before each game I load them up, then the rest of the ammo, which is usually in a bottle, I put a sock in the top so it compacts everything and makes no noise. It's a weird way of doing it, but ahh well, it works.
I always carry some BB's in a water bottle, that fits perfectly into my vest's double mag pouch.

Hey, that's a great idea, thanks for sharing. My only concern would be getting the BBs from the bottle into a magazine or speedloader- how do you avoid spillage?

When I lived in las vegas, there was pretty much only one area we could play that was both legal and fun. Was a great field.

The parking area had so many spilled bbs, that there were more bbs than rocks pretty much. It was hilarious.

You will spill bbs. That's just how it goes. Most people kind of cup their hand around the speedloader opening.

I use a bottle that you buy the bbs in. Just a plastic bottle, with a little tube that lets the bbs out.

Best thing to do for carrying BBs. Just put your bag of BBs in a pouch for an LMG mag.

    Alriht guys, I need help.
For my birthday, I asked my parents for either a GoPro, or a KWA G36C.
I figured that i'd have a party for my birthday, and earn about 300 dollars in cardmoney (like I did last year).
I'm trying to think up a backup plan for if I don't get the G36C and don't have a party, and instead get a GoPro.
I may or may not be able to afford the G36C (depends if I get my computer job or not with the school), so I figured it'd be a little cheaper to just upgrade my Combat Machine.
So, I need help upgrading my gun to be the best it can be, but won't break itself from all the upgrading (ie. bigger spring breaks internals, etc, I think you get the point).
Any help is welcome, I already have my eyes on:
    http://www.awsairsoft.com/scorpion
(If I get the G36C or not)

So, on the flip side, if I do get a GoPro, what sort of helmet rig would I need for the GoPro NVG mount?
Again, any help at all is welcome, thanks in advance.

The only thing i can recommend is that you get the GoPro. Me and my Dad use them all the time to video tape track meets(he does recreational sport bike racing) and to good effect as well. i can't give to much info about a helmet mount, but you do get a wind proof case and ballistic cases are available too, and they come with mounts on them, and all you have to do is put a sticky mount on your helmet then attach the GoPro. Anyway, these cases(even the non-ballistic ones) have survived motorcycle crashes(not for my dad, other people we know use them too, one crashed and we still got the footage) and been fine. Honestly i think the GoPro has all you could need.

    about those upgrades...
    http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=2697

A very sane list of what the most important upgrades are and aren't.

One thing it doesn't seem to stress to much there is the importance of the bushings. Metal bushings are great, especially prometheus, dont get ones with lube/oil channels. Ball bearings are amazing.

Did you see that scorpion in the "your next purchase" thread? :3
