    Actually when I released my first skin with EMDG's textures he was pretty pissed off because I didnt ask him even though I credited him.

    Wouldnt it be logical to assume that if someone gets pissed off because you didnt ask him for permission, you should have asked him before using his work? I mean its too late once hes already pissed off...

    Fairly easy, actually, I'm pretty sure I have most of them still. Most of them will need to be processed to work properly in Source, so I'll go do that now.

    You want the M9 sound, you said? Suppressed, or unsuppressed?

    Ok previously i chosed rong time to post... I need a lil help here, I got some kind of "glitch" in max: when I move any bone from .smd hands(on .max ones it doesnt happen)that has mid/tip bones attached to it, it just moves by itself not touching those other 2...

    If yo dont understand meh, I'll post tomorrow soem screenz, k?

    In SMD format? Maybe it could be because bone linkage?

    That's normal, because there is a smd exporter that is kinda of fucked up that doesn't allow moving bones... just move on to another thing or use the max files :P

    You don't NEED to ask for permission as long as the original author says so. Whenever you have a sentence like "Do not redistribute without explicit permission of the author." in the readme file you MUST ask him before you re-release the content since it's basically the property of the author.

    As I said, bone linkage error. The other finger bones are not linked to that one, so they rotate independently.

    You're not in either of the keyframing modes for animation. Solution- turn on auto keyframe... or just move one segment at a time.

    Are you trying to animate an imported hand rig from smd? That finger movement might not be normal but dont be surprised why other bones dont move as they should when you move one of them, you cant really animate after the thing was exported to smd and reimported.

    Yeah, its hard to animate on smds but...its possible,    my "secret experiment" have edited anim to gtfo vert   , with this error here it would be surely impossible to do anything!
    Btw, hands in vid are my rerig of the IIopns revolver but that doesnt matter. When I now import any smd hands, this error always happens, even on those that was used for the experiment(.smds cuz .max's are safe)...

    I have saved .max files of that edit that was previously smd ofc...it was saved BEFORE error happend, so its not affected(as much as any max files that was saved before bug appeared, if i save it now, its not working)

    I even made few quick bones in max, it got same crap. Or I forgot how bones work?

    Idk, i feel that whole max needs reinstalling...

    It happens on EVERY hand.smd I load, not just those i rerigged...it wouldnt help i think

    no that only happens in singleplayer , in multiplayer when i shoot it plays the firing sound once and then it goes silent for the rest of the clip :/

    First of all, like GinIchigo said .

    In other words if you're releasing something for free it's considered to be in the public domain (Unless someone has it copyrighted by one of those websites). Therefore, you don't need to ask for permission. It's just authors like it more when you do because they most likely spent a long time creating it. Credits are good enough when it comes to releasing stuff. I hope you understand it's not illegal if you don't get permission, It's just not as nice as getting permission. Not giving any credits or permission, or not even saying you didn't make the models/textures/sounds etc, would be very bad.

    This is like the problem with Leetnoob and his "Extra Customizable Weaponry", he was unable to get credits for all of the CSS models he used (He used a lot, and didn't want to adventure through gamebanana looking for every single one), but he did say something like "Credit goes to those who made them". Then a guy named Marlwolf started to rage at him because he didn't ask all the authors for permission.

    This is a pointless argument, if the author (Mantuna) doesn't like it he can say that himself.
    You have to ask for permission, period.

    I have a problem. Homefront shg 870, acr, scar, m9 and sv45 are left handed in game but other weapons are right handed. How can i fix this?
