I always knew i'd like Husker Du some day. The name stuck with me the very first time I heard it. Same thing happened with Reel Big Fish. The name stuck with me but I didn't like the music til high school

Well, musically, especially with punk, i'm entirely self-taught. My dad liked prog-rock hippy shit and my mom was a Janis Joplin doppleganger. I've got like, one friend who actually likes this kinda stuff. I meet a bunch of metalheads and occasionally some punkers at parties but we usually end up talking about Tool or the Misfits or something haha. A lot of what I listen to is from all the digging around I do. this thread has been a bit of a gold-mine at one point as well.
