I was quite surprised that nothing in my town got hit. Lightning kept striking all around but thankfully never any buildings.

Its really scary though. Made me want to go hide in my basement and cry.

I feel the same, if i spend time making a really cool town i don't want it destroyed by lightning. Creepers is one thing since you can avoid those by lure them out of the town and kill them, but lightning? No, no.

I like lightning but not how frequent it is now. I love hearing it but when it hits your building 3 times in a thunder storm and blows it all to hell it gets really annoying.

I could probably make it much less likely to make an explosion, I'll tell rama about it.

Yeah that would be good, may look a bit ugly though. What materials and what range does it have?

Like I said on the server. I think it would be interesting to have an iron block conduct it so its not like everybody could have it. Plus theres more difficulty in getting an iron block.

plus iron conducts electricity very well.

Only 6-10? I think it would be better if it were more like 20+ blocks, otherwise it would really ulgy with those everywhere.

some lots near the Trodacero

Some riverside lots and apartments/condo/duplex place that people can buy and choose to either use it themselves or rent it out

In the future I plan on making an automatic free charcoal delivery system as I said earlier. Down the middle of the roads is where the main tracks will be located with a main store area next to them with your own chests. Every house will have to have a basement with the floor at 60 Y.I really hope this isn't a flop and can go somewhere.

By the way lightning conductors work now, they look like this!



Two fences and a redstone torch, may need replacing when a thunderstorm actually starts to make sure it works, aka just remove the top torch then place it again.

It's hard to keep up with server news during this Italy trip, so in case the creative is still up, I know what to make: Italian village around a lake! Because that's the kind of place I'm having my holiday at, known as Lake Como.
In case the creative is not up, I'll just try to make it in survival.

Thats cool. Sounds like what happened to me. I went to Paris and now I am making Paris with the monuments and styled houses.
Sounds interesting. If you do it I'll take a lot. That idea reminds me of simba.

I optimized the lightning conductors and fixed a couple of bugs with them, waiting for profan to get online so I can give the updated jar to him.

Edited:

Unfortunatly the save format is changed so you will have to re-place the torch on each conductor for it to register.

Conductors now only need one fence and a redstone torch ontop.

Old ones still work if you just place the torch ontop again.
