Where's AyesDyef, he needs to be writing this down.
Here's some progess :
Also a friend made a fancy render with Vray .D :
I think I'll soon start to unwarp. Suggestions ? :3
Concept art is not my strong side.
WITH A GODDAMNED RADIO
Not sure if the idea was done already, but it's worth a shot.
Just noticed the concept art is inconsistent. Oh boy. The bottom one is the one that represents my idea the best.
I do intend to add more detail in the future, but this was more of a test to figure out how to edit VTFs in GIMP.
EDIT: Somehow, the edge detailing got destroyed, but it's fixable.
Is there any way to slow down the speed of animated VTF textures?
It just doesn't look right to me imo, but if everyone else thinks it's good then fine. Whatever.
The box is probably as small as I could make it without it clipping with the head. I've tried making it smaller but I wanted it to be a box of soup cans, making it the smaller would have made it a box for a can and a half, which isn't very practical.
Anyway, I think the texture improved the look of the model so far.
EDIT: forgot to take a back shot. The back says "captain dan's army surplus soup". It just isn't cut off like it is in the front. The box doesn't clip too badly (unnoticeably) while running/walking. It does clip with the collar when the soldier uses the director's vision taunt or the one where he beats on his chest.
'Tis a shame that the soldier's collar is so big. This clips like a mofo during taunts D:
Decided to make the brick phone from meet the director, probably has been done before.
I just noticed something with the chapeau. It's misplaced on the spy's head with causes it to clip with the spy's head. Here's an image
can anybody reposition this? or does anyone have a fix to this?
So I was invited by blaholtzen over at the Polycount forums to show off what I've been working on over here.
It's a brand new hat for the Engineer based on "Double-D's" iconic ski cap from Ed, Edd and Eddy called "The Sockhedd". So far, this is version 3 of the Beta phase of this hat and I'm looking for feedback from other players. So I'll just leave the download link for The Sockhedd here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NDYO0FH5
As said before, this only version 3 and NOT a final release. Enjoy!
