It's still not heavy tweaking. Changing a few variables in the settings menu doesn't mean that you're "tweaking" the program.
Eh, technicalities. You're just picking for the sake of picking.
This is mostly a default #! desktop buuut..
Thanks to LCD for the big clock Conky config![]()
glad you enjoy it.![]()
wait, is ham that creep posing as a female?
I'm afraid you're mistaken, I've only posted a few times and hardly anything that scandalous.
Wasn't that Rizzo?
He was Pixel Heart after all. vv
All the linux desktops he created as pixel heart, so much effort, why would he do that?
There are some twisted people on the planet...
I was getting tired of dabbling with Ubuntu evey now and then. It was definitely more user-friendly, but I wasn't learning a thing. I decided to install Arch on a VM and try to get gnome running on it.

Such a shame it doesn't work properly in VirtualBox. I really wish they'd improve support for that, but I suppose it would be "bloat" to many.
As stupid as I am with Arch I am surprised I never decided to practice the install on a VM. I should probably do that...
Isn't that an issue with Gnome 3 and hardware acceleration in virtualbox and not arch?
Yep, and it's already been fixed. Same with Unity 3D.
hipster alert!
Hah, not at all actually. Look up How to Destroy Angels, they are a side project of Trent Reznor's.
Fuck, just realized it is 8:40am. I've been up for 38 hours!

Uh, how so? That's Mark Oliver Everett from Eels.
The head has smoke coming out of it.

Or appears to.
I don't get how that relates to my post though, I'm probably overlooking something really simple :p
-snip-
Still fucking around with Conky.

LCD is Pixel Heart.
Holy shit that looks good!
.....
It looks like it was designed for a 10yearold.
...a ten year old who strives for a functional yet aesthetically pleasing desktop.
simple since i'm very new to Linux:

I'm really liking the desktop style LCD and Lyoko774 have, what distro are you using?
I just really hate the whole "let's puT THINGS EVERYWHERE!!!!" aspect of desktop design.
Finally got Awesome like I want it on my laptop. Damn, their lua and documentation is a mess!
Struggling to find a terminal emulator I like though...
Try terminator. It has really nice tab and split window support.
Mint 11 - Gnome Panel + AWN + Conky
urxvt is a pretty good terminal emulator. It's simple, lightweight, and just overall just great!
Looks good!
How do I get the big clock thingy?
I installed conky and it works great - just working on customising it more.
I made the clock myself using Gimp.
damn, Mint is too big for my CD's -.-
What good distros are there under 700mb?
Edited:
heh automerge :D
and....what?
You made that clock using GIMP?
But it updates, right?
