I never buy stuff packs. It's just not worth the 20 bucks half the time. Not to mention I've never liked how Sims 3 clothing seems to be taken directly off the runway of ridiculousness. Never any "normal" looking clothes half the time, it's all this fashion shit that just doesn't seem great to me (Male clothing is worse than female clothing of course).

I bought the first Sims 3 stuff pack, the high end loft one.
That one was mostly objects, which I thought looked pretty cool. Also, it was a Sims Anniversary edition one or something, and had some items from the Sims 1, which was pretty awesome.

    The rest have sucked though.

Here, folks, you can have your Seasons!

(not in English, but then again, Sims never spoke English, and I can a see translations coming the future anyway)

By the way, Supernatural is looking pretty damned good right now. Have already pre-ordered.

    http://simsvip.com/?p=11803

And that's just the bit of it. The new town is Moonlight Falls, inspired by Forks, Washington. Yea,h I know what you're thinking, Twilight. But the vampires and werewolves and fairies are NOT at all like "modern" culture says they are. They're all actually based on the folklore that they're supposed to come from.

Along with the ability to create a supernatural, comes 24 new hairstyles ("teen-adult sims and are split 13/11 (female/male)"), 86 new clothes for teens-elderly, 9 Accessories, and there's said to be about 230 new objects!

There's a SHITton more to be said about this upcoming EP, but I'm already just overwhelmed from what I took in yesterday I just can't explain it.

But, hey, Seasons is also coming! And it seems that EA got their shit together with this pack, so I'm willing to bet Seasons won't disappoint at all.

I heard about Seasons just a few hours ago. Also, from what was just posted about Supernatural...it looks a lot more interesting and promising than I had originally thought. Looks like I'll look into getting both of these expansions afterall!

Can't wait for Seasons though, that was one of my favorite Sims 2 expansions.

Green baby aliens born by male pregnancy are back. Yes!

Oh, and by the trailer it looks much more like a Sims Vacation than World Adventures.

I just purchased The Sims 3 along with seasons and super natural.. The problem is that I can't see even The Sims 3 in my games library.. Does paying with paypal do this?

    Edited:

Nevermind, they finally send me an email other than that I had been charged.. After restarting Origin, my games are on my list!

Please list expansion packs in the order I should get them, I will probably buy a new one each month. (No stuff packs though)

It seems complicated to use, does it have an in-game menu where I can change the options while playing?

Use Twallan's mods for the same (but different) functions, AND with a user-friendly menu. It seems overwhelming at first but that just shows how good it is.

    http://nraas.wikispaces.com/
Scroll-down for a list of more mods (which you SHOULD get by the way, considering it just so happens to fix A LOT of the game's problems)

Honestly, Twallan is one of the best modders out there. Every time a new patch is out, this guy is SURE he's quick on updating each and every one of his mods so that they are up-to-date as soon as possible. Plus the site above is VERY useful for any questions you have - and if you're not sure of which option does what. I HIGHLY recommend using them for a much cleaner Sims 3 experience.

just for a laugh I thought I'd work out how much it would cost to own the sims 3 and all the addons legally: £225. for all the stuff packs as well, £305.

and it originally came out 3 years ago.

Its almost DLC the game. You get the base stuff but you have bucketloads of DLC to get the better stuff.

At least it is mod compatible.

If you want better Story Progression that you can tune whenever you want in-game, get Twallan's.
If you want better Story Progression that you can tune before you download it, get AwesomeMod.

I would suggest Twallan's, since all of his other mods are "inter-compatible" with each other, meaning they work well with each other, and adds new functions if a certain mod of his is also installed. And they're just easy to install in general.

However, you could get both if you like as the creators made it so they work with each other. Although since this is your first time installing a Story Progression mod, I wouldn't suggest it.

The only reason to use twallans story progression is if your pc is shit or you prefer things happening without them actually happening

That's what I thought too until I went to that sim and it was actually happening. But although I still feel like there are some fabrications. I'll have to check the next time it happens.

Actually, I just remembered that sometimes the notifications appear later than the events actually happen, and I'm guessing it's because of all the sims it has t does like a "cooldown" before bringing you loads of story notifications.

The thing about Twallan's SP mod is that it caters to each and every sim's traits and whatnot, while EA's Story Progression isn't as dynamic as that, and pretty much has every sim do random things that don't really fit each sim.

Download the sims 3 package editor: http://www.den.simlogical.com/denfor...hp?topic=189.0
Then open the fullbuild2.package here the sims 3\GameData\Shared\Packages
Then there should be a list of textures and you can right click and export them.
It doesn't seem to have all the textures though. I don't know that much about it.

Sorry if this is a bump, but I just have to say that you guys have some of the best scenarios for your sims. Inviting friends over, locking them in a basement, and painting their portrait is awesome. I'm so boring. I've just made a family, and I try to make it spread like bacteria.

At least in the Sims 2 Seasons they gave you a reason to keep a roof over their heads, but that's genius.
