"We like this company."
"Please rush your next game's development."
what.
"We like this company."
"Please rush your next game's development."
what.
the saddest part about it is
nobody gets lulz
nobody wins
Heh, with all they are doing, when they fall, they are going to fall hard.
they're going to regret every. single. thing.
and who will really sharing the lulz? us.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
How are they going around hacking these major game companies? I'm beginning to doubt these companies even put effort into their security. I mean plain text passwords, sql inject vulnerabilities... really guys?
This shit is getting REALLY old. Just stop, it's getting bad.
attention
76.7 MB text document?
I can take hacking other things...But now they have crossed the line
They can break and kill anything and anyone I don't like, but don't they dare to do anything to things I like.
I think they haven't crossed shit and it's kinda funny to see how poor security the companies have.
Uuugh, why? Seriously, why? If you seriously have to be some vigilante hacker idiot why do you have to steal things while you're doing it? Is it not just enough to say that you can and show the company how you did it?
Uh, they're not vigilante. They're here not to bring justice but to bring lulz(to people who find this funny anyway)
Do you really expect someone who does stuff for the lulz to not steal info and everything they can get their hands on?
If your site gets hacked by an sql injection, I don't feel sorry for you. A big company should pay more attention to their security or not keep important info online
They're going too far...
I'm sure they're already working hard enough. Asking a dev to work harder is pathetic, childish entitlement.
How do these people wake up in the morning and go to work? Can they actually interact with real people? I never understood how idiots like these function when they aren't behind a screen
Do any of those contain info on upcoming projects or such?
I think they function quite well. If asking dev to work harder is pathetic, then 90% of fp is.
Edited:
If they're not arrested, then not too far yet.
I don't know of anyone on fp who questions the work a dev put into a game. They might call the game bad and they might say it was poorly designed or any number of other things, but I can't think of a time where people actually have said the devs need to work harder.
I'm not talking special cases.
their parents wake them up each morning and drive them to see their friends at private middle school #210
-snip-
Only idiots get hacked, only idiots get arrested for hacking.
LulzSec jsut proves how easy it is for a bunch of IT students, to hack loads of 'important' websites using basic IT knowledge, and a few Chinees VPS's.
they are most likely college age-middle age with serious sociopath-like issues
Oh god the hate, it's hilarious. Just because they are showing major companies have vulnerabillities in their systems everyone goes to fucking white knight internet hero mode.
What you really can't? Almost any game gets bashed for "not enough effort put in".
Cod, homefront, and many more. And almost every unreleased game gets bashed to hell on fp because the devs didn't put in enough effort or were lazy.
You are just blinded and can't see that this stuff happens everywhere and just need a reason to hate lulzsec. If you want to hate them, hate them for hacking game devs, not for putting demands that are put up on every forum imaginable.
Edited:
I think it's more about the attitude and stealing user info than hacking itself. But as long as no real harm is done, I don't care.
cod and homefront are the special case generic type games that of course are going to be hated. cod isn't even lazy, it's just generic. Homefront I can't really comment on.
I don't want to bother refuting the whole sensationalist "blinded and need a reason to hate", but you're assuming a lot about me based on a tiny bit of info that it doesn't seem you read right: not cool

As johan said, it's the attitude and stealing user info. They're hurting customers they say they're supporting, stuff like that. Nobody cares about exposing vunerabilities; they're just doing it to be asses.
How can you even defend those pricks? You really think they care about pointing out vulnerabilities? It's painfully obvious that they just do it because they can, and they get customers caught up in their shitty little game in the process. If they're so noble, why the hell do they take stuff, hm? If they had intentions as good as they (and you) claim they'd leave info the fuck alone and simply point out the flaws to the companies in question, and they sure as shit wouldn't broadcast the flaws to the world (or taunt the companies for that matter).
Duke nukem, bulletstorm, hell even bf3 right now is getting a big fuss about the dlc. And everyone wants the devs to "work harder" even if the text isn't word by word.
And ep3? Everyone wants valve to speed up their production
I really hope that M'aiq the Liar will be in Skyrim, or his grandchild or something (if you want it to make sense that he exists 200 years after Oblivion. I'm sure he'd have something fun about this to say :3:
Frist of all i am not claiming they have "good" intentions nor am i really defending them, but like you said they CAN do it, do something they shouldn't really be able to. I hate to say but best way to make things change fast is to do something extreme, like steal user info. By doing this, other companies will most likely change their security to much better to avoid this from happening to them.
Well why would anyone want to defend a bunch of retards that are potentially harming a company that many people support, especially considering that they are not doing this in protest to anything bad the company has done and is instead only doing it "because they can".
Life sentence? you're such a nerd.
Well they could have done this without the threats.
They could have, but to get big industry to think more about internet security needs rather drastic actions. User info shouldn't be up for grabs for "bunch of kids" as they are called.
bf3 isn't an issue of working hard, it's an issue of what they're doing with their content, which is not good.
valve is obviously working, and seeing as their products have always had good quality I don't think the amount of work they do should be put into question so simply.
you are right about duke nukem, I was wrong about that
Oh god, not Bethesda
Atleast they dont leak the user info
It's not the issue of developers working hard or not, it's the issue of users wanting/demanding them to work hard and fast.
I'm a college age sociopath and I don't pull shit like this, but I had the same sort of attention-seeking personality when I was younger
-snip-
How the hell is any of this sociopathic?
