Got a new update and more screenshots, I've just added a neat loading screen, and I'm requesting permission to use the background image in the release (which is coming soon).
Please ignore the Paint icon, it's some stupid windows UI glitch
Looks good. Can't wait to see more.
That looks awesome!
In the folder I see "loading.avi", is the loading screen animated?
Maybe I'm too exited, but I can't wait to try this out. Looks great, and will help me a lot.
Will there be a way to automatically hook a project up to a gamemode, and recognize all the files?
Will there be different themes?
6mb loading screen, just what I always wanted in an IDE
I was testing a way to get an animated loading screen, it's in AVI format, trying to make it a GIF without it messing up. The AVI is not distributed with the program.
Maybe in a version after the release, I'm trying to get the basics in first. I'll be posting more updates soon and probably a current and target feature list.
Thanks for all the positive feedback.
Edited:
You can try out the development version, it's not usable for real projects yet!
STRIPPED, OLD VERSION
Currently, the development version only supports 32bit. The final release will support 64bit
If anybody wants to try and turn my loading test into something creative you can, download it here.
I can't download it. The .RAR file is returning a error.
Oops, let me fix that
Okay. :P
Edited:
Maybe it's just me, but it crashes when I launch it.
Any error messages, or just 'Not responding'.
It only says "Not responding".
Windows 7 or Vista? 64bit or 32bit? You can PM me if you want.
Really awesome job man. Sadly I will stick to n++ but I will use your program as a derma creater, Just becausee Derma designer is kinda weird and doesn't suppoert all the panels.
It's crashing with 'Not responding'. Windows 7 64bit
Damn, I need to compile it for 64bit. I've not really had to do this before, will that require a 64bit computer.
This might be useful: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...(v=vs.80).aspx
Since compiling for 64bit is gonna take me some time to get working, it's not practical at this point to release the dev version for 64bit, but I will for the final release.
Damn. :P
I might of got it working for 64bit, but if any bugs are found, I'll only be able to update the 32bit version. You can try the x64 dev version STRIPPED, OLD VERSION.
It's not working for me on windows 7 64bit. Probably not going to work for others either.
Hmmm, until I can solve the problem, it's going to have to remain 32bit. An error message/dump would be really helpful. It might not be a 32/64 problem.
I get the same thing with both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.Code:Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: gluar.exe Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0 Problem Signature 03: 4e5e12e5 Problem Signature 04: mscorlib Problem Signature 05: 2.0.0.0 Problem Signature 06: 4a27471d Problem Signature 07: 123a Problem Signature 08: 5f Problem Signature 09: System.BadImageFormatException OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057
Found this here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...-3604254c126b/
and this http://filips.net/archives/2008/01/1...4-bit-windows/
People seem to have gotten things working with that solution. I'd love to try this out.
Hmmm, does the loading screen load, or does it show the error before anything starts?
Edited:
Looking around and the actual error may be caused by a bad Assembly.LoadFile in the LuaInterface DLL, it may be an old one, but the .NET versions match the program.
If you have any other information about this bug, please tell me.
You're probably referencing a 32-bit DLL.
Everything is leading to that, yes.
I think my actual program may work CrossPlatform, but the DLL's may not. There may be no chance of a 64bit Fireball dll.
Orly?
I've just made some changes to detect 64bit computers & processes. A message should appear telling you if it's a 64bit system, and if the process is running in 32bit mode.
Can some 64bit users please redownload the program and post the results?
I'll try it out.
Is it the same download link?
Edited:
If it's the same download, I still crash. :/
Here's the link, seems like the original link didn't update.
Cookie please.
Now I know some more information. Is their a compatibility option to run it in 32bit for Windows 7?
no, but 32bit programs can run on 64bit.
Not to my knowledge.
Ninja'd.
In some cases
Damn, I'm going to need sombody who has a 64bit computer, Visual Studio 2008, and I can trust. It might make this alot easier.
Same here - not just a problem of yours Chew.
