Ok guys, I got my phone in a reboot loop, and all my backups give a MD5 mismatch for some reason
I can access the CWM but even if I factory restore my phone it gives me a loop
What can I do now?

Install a new rom and use an app extractor to get your backup'd apps.
Guys after fiddling aroudn with roms on my galaxy s2, it seems like something bugged the display.
It looks like it has a lower resolution and there's ugly color banding as if the display went down to 16 bit colour depth...
What can I do?
What's a good android phone I can get now in the 100~ price range.
supercurio is fixing that! Check out his thread on XDA-Developers.
Can't find the exact thread..
Could you post me a link please?
A one year old or older android phone.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Do you know any in specific? There are just so many to look through, I have no Idea which ones are good.
I got the htc Sense 3.0 ROM for my Inspire.
What's a good ROM for customizing/personalizing my phone?
Exactly, so any preferences on the android? Screen size? Slide out keyboard? Any specifics would be helpful.
And does the budget have to be that low?
After doing a little more research on it, I see that I'm not gonna get anything good for 100 bucks. And I'm on AT&T so my selection is limited. I'm using an Aria now which is pretty outdated and slow. What I'm lookin at, at being worth the effort is either an HTC Infuse or a Motorola Atrix which both go for about 200~.
Kinda pricey, but I don't really wanna be stuck with what I have for another full year (when I upgrade.) But thanks for your help (or willingness to)
Wait, the new phone, on contract right? If so, how will get high end decent phones. If not, then you'll get crap ones. But i do think your looking or one without one since your on a contract right now.
This is getting on my nerves, most of the ROMs for the SGSII are for the international i9100 version and disable the home and search buttons on my i777. Exynos Extreme would be fucking perfect for me if it wasn't for that one fucking flaw.
First of all, I recommend Android Revolution HD as a daily driver. Get 6.1.5 for that ROM. Next, either go with Revolution HD or Honey HD for a theme, as they add many goodies like being able to turn on and off CRT-animations on the fly, themed apps, HTC Sense modifications, quicksettings changes, etc.
Then use the radio that came with the latest Inspire 4G update to 2.3.3 with RCDATA for best possible battery life, and flash the RIL that goes with it. Flash lypapota's music mods (either the Beats audio mod or just the SRS effect fix).
This is why the carrier-exclusivity of phones is retarded and never should've been thought of.
Man, fuck it. The only full-featured ROM I can find that's compatible with the i777 is Cyanogenmod and I can't find any themes that don't look like ricer horseshit. Stock ROM with a rooted kernel looks like the best option for me, and frankly the only thing I'm missing is the CRT power-off sleep animation.
CyanogenMod is a quite good ROM, try it.
Once again, I don't even have mobile internet, so think yourselves lucky![]()
Since when unlocking a Nexus S everything gets wiped, is it possible to backup everything beforehand? I'd use Nandroid or Titanium Backup, but both don't work on a locked phone.
So what ROMs are the best? I had a quick look on the forums and there's too many god damn choices. What do?
Cyanogenmod is probably the best.
Me neither bro.
Been living on neighbors wifi...
If they kill it,since the rest are WPA and I don't have the time.
Not worth losing hardware accelerated browser/UI for silky smooth lag-free interface.
Edited:
Whenever the Captivate devs move over we should start seeing direct ports of ROMs from the i9100 to the i777.
Edited:
Should I get this phone still? Sounds like no one decent is making a stock+ ROM, and I know the HTC Vivid will be loads better for the developer communities...
Don't know what you're talking about, stock browser works fine for me.
Edited:
On second thought, it's kinda slow.
Apparently only the Samsung ROMs have GPU-drawn browser and UI, but that's all I know.
Oh, alright then.
Still wondering for opinions:
Should I get the AT&T Galaxy S2 (i777), which would have a better processor, thinner, lighter, maybe better battery life, and a more vibrant and less battery consuming screen, but it's already been a month in and barely any devs on it, or the HTC Vivid (HTC Raider 4G), which has a higher res screen, better camera, possibly better dev support, better UI, better looking design, and LTE?
Haven't been to this thread in a while, I swapped my HTC HD2 for a Desire S and I just flashed a new ROM that has great battery life.

What rom? I have a desire Z and I'm looking for ultra sexy battery roms
He barely even touched the thing. Although the ROM that I used on my Desire, was Leedroid, and it was pretty good.
That would be right but he did say he flashed another ROM. Also your next post is 8000th post.
I've gotten 1d22h51m26s off of my battery going down to 2 percent, with 1h8m56s screen on time, and around 15 of those hours were spent in spectacularly shitty signal areas (2 bars of EDGE baby).
Hnnggg Galaxy Note will be ~$980 unlocked here. Hardly worth it, I could get a decent laptop for the same price. There goes my plans :(
Anyone have an idea on what phone i should get come late november (u.s) ? or should I Wait for something else?
Galaxy Nexus, Droid RAZR, or any one of the Galaxy S2 variants.
Do not get any Galaxy S2 LTE. If it's snapdragon, unless there are some other huge features to compensate for it, don't bother.
,So I tried to update to 2.3.4. but Sonys pc companion said that it was updated, even if though many users of my phone have already upgraded which features better speeds and fixes some problems. I will assume that my carrier doesn't have it yet, anyways i decided to do a factory reset to fix a possible wifi disconnecting problem, or that sluggish touchscreen movement. Funny thing is, I forgot to back up the settings. Huge ass tech noob mistake, forgetting to back shit up. But i'm kinda happy that i didn't because it game my phone an actual reset. I reinstalled the essentials such as evernote, bbc new, moboplayer, swiftkey x, etc.
Has it fixed the wifi bug? No.
Has it fixed the sluggish touchscreen, yes but only a little bit. There's half of it remaining from before and it's way better than before too. Ill redownload that app and see if it helps, again.
Also, my phones been running faster and stuff. Either way, all of the apps were free. Still need to clean the sd card since lots of the apps moved to the sd card is still there, probably going to get back 1gb.
a few questions,
When i can upgrade to 2.3.4, does it reset everything like the factory reset?
When i buy an app and i factory reset again or upgrade or whatever, am i able to redownloaded without any additional fee, since i paid for it before, using the same google account?
Does resetting void warranty?
Does upgrading void warranty?
Doesn't google's android market keep a list of apps youve installed prior to factory reset. I kinda expected that.
Just root the damn thing and install something like CM7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1320513
You don't need to unlock your bootloader (and void your warranty) to do it. The only thing you'll not be able to do is using different kernels.
Also you may want to snip that one bit about apps. Also market apps can be redownloaded.
Edited:
Aww, there isn't a proper CM7 ROM for your phone yet...
2.3.7
i guess i'll just hope it's fixed in ICS
