If I push it fast enough it can reach about 2mph.
If I push it fast enough it can reach about 2mph.
I'd be terrified riding in that :fear:
We have a little geo metro in our automotive class, we had to move it but at the time it didn't run and had 4 flats. We got 4 guys, one on each corner, and carried it into the shop from where it was outside. Like a little fucking toy.
Biotoxsin, by any chance, do you live in San Fransisco and drive Appletinis?

I love her, she's indestructible

That car fits perfectly in your driveway. I think it's the trees.
Very classy.
I'd rather drive that than a Smart Car
Honestly, it looks like a fun little car.
Those rims look pretty rare. What model are they?
jackstands on asphalt WHOOPS
HOYL WHEELIE! DAYMN
They ONLY came on the '86 and '87 Honda CRX Si in the states. Very hard to find a complete, untarnished set and I like them a lot. I'd trade them for the right set of wheels though. They're 14x6 I think, 14x5.5 or something.
Cool. I don't like the design at all, but rare OEM Honda parts are always awesome in some way, even though they might not be cool looking.
arghhh stop making me tilt my head looking at it straight hurts
But it makes it look more ~artistic~
What? Does it leave impressions or something?
xD

Just by looking at the picture, I know that you're Australian.
yeh, the picture is a dead give away
yeah some pretty big ones
Got her a few days ago for £1600, if i wait until my birthday till i insure it, the price goes down by about £1000 on insurance because i go from 19 to 20. Amazing how much of a difference 1 week can make.
9 Years old, 50MPG average. Max speed of 97 MPH. about 87000 miles on the clock. Nice little car.
Nice first thing to do though is remove the huge sticker from the rear window.
What were you quoted on your insurance btw? is it a 1.2?
Nah it's just the 1.0. Only decent car i could find that was insurance group 1. And i plan to remove that sticker, i haven't even been in the back of the car yet.
First time i was looking for insurace prices for different small cars i was getting quotes of something like £5000 a year. I then found this one and got it down to £4000, because it is insurance group 1. I added my mum and dad as side drivers and it came down by £1200. Then i changed my age to 20 to see what prices it would give me and to see if it was worth waiting until my birthday, went down by about £800. (Prices are just averages by the way). So now I'm only expected to pay something like £2000. It's still a lot, but not terible for a new driver where i live.
Not many people do, they're called phone dials. I've seen a lot of people scrap these because they aren't pretty. It's sad.
How did you get a Metropolitan? All the ones in good shape I've seen have gone for more than a new car
I miss my Corsa, I used to rag it everywhere and it just didn't use fuel, ever. A tank would last forever. Got her to an indicated 120mph downhill on the M6 Toll road, a 2 mile straight, thought the pistons were going to come flying through the bonnet!
Anyways, the Lude. As ever, no new pictures because I never remember to take them after she's spotlessly clean.
Hoping to give it a detail this weekend, will remember to get some snaps.
Because its not in good shape. The right side is all beat up and the floor pans are rotted out.
Here's another pic shortly after i bought it 3 years ago:
And another, just after I got it running and the brakes working:
And its a total chick magnet.![]()
-snip-
That's very similar to me I paid £2000 for my first year too, although it was a 1.2, and I was 18. So I guess it isn't that similar. Just a sign of Insurance constantly rising, I paid the same amount this year on my insurance as I did last year, despite another years no claims etc.
Yeah there's something seriously wrong with car insurance in the UK.
It's not a masculine car by any means, but to get a working car for $400 that gets superb gas mileage I'm willing to deal with the lack of power/average appearance of a semi-sedan. Also, the shirts on the seats were apparently put there by the previous owners wife in an attempt to cover up holes in the seats from a previous owner who smoked in it
It's the roo-bar and aerials that gave it away, wasn't it?
Or was it the fact that it's an Isuzu Trooper, but has 'Jackaroo' written on the side?
Or was it that we have so much bauxite here that we throw it on the ground and use it as pea gravel?
All of it. I do like those though.
They're pretty underrated. I need to replace the muffler though because it's fallen apart on the inside and I'm severely lacking power :(
Still more than enough torque to easily get me in to trouble going around corners in the wet, though.
After that, I get some aggressive All-Terrains, add a fuck load of extra lighting and deck out the inside for camping, and then go camping :D
You should put a bed in the back, and some black lights on the ceiling. Then have sex with someone.
Good thinking batman.
