READ THIS MOTHERFUCKING SHIT
Code:OPERATION MÉRIDA II It’s been almost a year since U.S. Special Forces teams supported by the Columbian Army pushed the Cordoba Cartel out of the Cousin Valley, and things have been relatively peaceful. Unfortunately, the task force was unable to prevent one of the cartel’s top lieutenants, drug lord Mich “El Oso” Cordoba from fleeing the valley and now are about to pay the price for that failure. Cordoba has spent the last year in hiding, slowly rebuilding his decimated forces and turning them into a deadly army. This new army will be led by one of his top lieutenants, code-named “Joe”, who is hell-bent on re-capturing the valley and wreaking revenge for their bloody defeat in 2010. Cordoba knows the apocalyptic capabilities of the Special Forces, and is devising a master plan to limit their effect… At the same time, Congress has refused to continue direct U.S. military action in the region, preferring to leave the war on the cartels in the hands of the Columbian Army. The Columbians will be supported by a small team from the DEA, which contains several former members of the Special Forces team that won the valley last year. The DEA is determined to finish the war once and for all, by capturing “Joe” and destroying his army forever. Cordoba Cartel: Objective: Your mission is to secure the entire Cousin Valley for the Cartel and set up drug camps throughout the area. You must constantly be on the lookout for Colombian Army and DEA forces who are attempting to infiltrate the area and destroy the facilities you have already built. All supplies will be issued from the main Villa due to tight control measures set in place by “El Oso” Cordoba himself. All casualties will be brought back to the Villa and treated by the Cartel doctors. Uniform: Mix Match top and bottom/ Guerrilla look Timeline: TBD DEA/Columbian Army: Objective: DEA, you will infiltrate Cousin Valley with the aid of Colombian Army and immediately set up a base camp and landing zone (LZ). From there, you must conduct reconnaissance missions throughout the valley to determine the Cartel presence in the area. Once you have solid intel on Cartel forces, you will gain control of the valley and then launch a strike against the Cartel stronghold in an attempt to destroy the Cartel completely. Ultimately, you must capture “Joe” and extract him to the base camp for extraction. All supplies will be flown into the LZ and all casualties will be treated at the field hospital inside the base camp. Uniform: DEA: Multicam/U.S. camo patterns/uniform Timeline: TBD Medics/Doctors: Total number of medics/doctors will be determined by the total forces available, not to exceed one (1) medic/doctor per ten (10) soldiers. Medics/doctors will be given a bag containing bandages which can be tied around a wounded players arm or leg to respawn them. If a player returns to the Villa or base camp the bandage can be removed and the player reinserted into the game. If a medic/doctor is killed, he/she must return to the base camp or Villa to be respawned. POW’s: If a player is hit in enemy territory and cannot be treated by a medic/doctor, that player becomes a POW who will be taken back to the Villa/ base camp respectively for interrogation. The forces to which the POW belongs must then consider launching a rescue operation IF IT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE PRIMARY MISSION. Chain of Command: Each side will have a general and as many “squad leaders” as necessary to maintain command and control. Each general will be headquartered in their sides’ base camp and will have a radio to maintain communication with their respective forces. They will also have maps of the area as well as individual mission objectives and deadlines.
I know there's a meetup thread, but it seems like it may be a little more organized to have this thread.
All of this information as of July 13th isn't set in stone, and I probably should be posting some of it on here, but hopefully they'll release the official information soon so I can put the correct and set in stone info in this thread.
[HR][/HR][release]What the fuck is Hudson Valley Airsoft?[/release]
Hudson Valley Airsoft is a relatively new field to the Hudson Valley, their first year anniversary is coming up at the end of July, and have gone a long way since then.
Hudson Valley Airsoft is located in New Windsor, New York, next To Cousin's paintball.
Several Facepunchers attend HVA often, Codemonkey, Nivek, Ivebo, and I.
The field's still expanding, a mixture of wooded forests and a small village (which is also expanding), and has very friendly staff.
Nivek is the manager at Cousin's (paintball field who owns the land HVA operates on)
There's not many maps of the land (especially since they got more land recently), but knowing HVA's staff and Nivek, there will hopefully be a field map soon, along with more details on the OP.
[release]MERIDA II, the motherfucking OP[/release]
Alright, down to the juicy bits.
Right now, information is tentative, as nothing much has been released to everybody, the information I have right now is from the owner and I talking about it, all information right now is subject to change.
First, a little background information.
MERIDA I was held in November, 2010, Nivek, Codemonkey, and I were the only Facepunchers attending.
It was an overnight OP from 5:00PM until 7AM the next morning, no sleep at all.
MERIDA I was more of an experiment to the whole OP deal with HVA, being the field's first OP, albeit a relatively small one and nonetheless a night op. The op was based around two factions, US forces and a Colombian Cartel, the US force's major goal to eliminate the cartel leader person.
A small inside joke: A lot of people there won't understand it, but the MERIDA I veterans will know what's going on when fellow veterans throw cold hot dogs around. During MERIDA I, the Cartel Team were getting beat so badly, they had to ask for an hour break to eat, etc, so we gave it to them. Well, there happened to be a surplus supply of cold hot dogs at their base, and occasionally some of the Cartel members would sneak to the US firebase and throw hot dogs at us, including if/when they took any of us prisoner. I was one of those prisoners, many rape and lonely hand jokes were made by the Colombians, I was sort of scared what they've been doing all night based on the amount of weiner talk up there. They also have pictures somewhere of them "fondling" the fake dummy used as a downed pilot in a rescue mission.
MERIDA II is going to be a revival of MERIDA I, except bigger badder, more organized, and more kickass.
So far, the owner has told me the following things, again these are TENTATIVE.
DATE: Towards the end of August, maybe the weekend before the 29th. Again, not set in stone, ad i'm hoping they release everything soon.
TIMES: The owner was thinking maybe Saturday from 12PM to 1AM and Sunday from 9AM to 4PM, not sure, but either way it'l be awesome, the big gap in the night will probably be so everybody can sleep, eat, and hang out.
CAMPING. 'Nuff said.
TEAMS: Only thing that I know is that it might be Tan vs. Green/black.
After everything gets announced, we'll decide what team we'll all be on.
MERIDA I's attendee list was about 30-40 people, and a LOT of people who did not go to MERIDA I have been asking for another night op, so the numbers will hopefully be MUCH higher.

Post what you look like too or something, because that shit gets confusing sometimes.
[RELEASE]OP PICTURES - MERIDA I[/RELEASE]
My favorite, Codemonkey rocking it to Whitesnake as Nivek obviously isn't giving the flashlight a blowjob and instead is starting a grill.
I had to borrow Codemoney's CA for that night, my CA kicked a shit.
I was captured by the Colombian Cartel, and they made lots of rape jokes and cold hot dogs were thrown at me. :ohdear:
Once I find the other pictures of me after I was captured, and the pictures of the cartel raping the dummy they used for the downed pilot mission, i'll post them.
Once MERIDA II is done and over with, everybody post the pictures here and i'll put them in a section in the OP.
BY THE WAY: Cameras are a bit banned because of some idiots over the winter, I am allowed to film as part of prior agreements with the field, but bring your cameras and shit out when/if any of you attend, and just ask staff if you can film and take pictures, they'll probably let you as long as you're responsible about it.
This OP WILL be watched and updated, because I have no life.
