What are all the people sweating at?

Come with us on that planned trip? We're going to several sweat camps collecting the teleports. At some of the better sweat camps you can collect up to 300 Sweat per 30 minutes. 1000 sweat sells for about 3 PED I think.

I'm giving this game a try. Can I get a summary of these questions?
-How is the community?
-Sweating, why is it called sweating? And rather, do you collect sweat or just kill shit?
-Can I get an estimate at how long it'd take me to get proper gear to get money "quickly" on my own if I only sweat around?
-Can someone give me PED? (Not a serious question but wouldn't mind some!)

Alright so I downloaded it, made my character and went to Calypso.
The game looks amazing on my rig. 1920x1080 Resolution with generally high settings.
Now to waste a whole year getting a bunch of sweat!

I'm only at the gateway as it stands because everything downloads so slow, if anyone wants to add me it would be nice.

Vibrant Sweat is good to refine into Mind Essence if you have Mindforce powers. However, Vibrant Sweat goes for a good amount of PED for F2P people. Keep in mind however, that 1000 Vibrant Sweat is usually about 2.2 PED. So you aren't exactly getting top dollar.

So I just bought $10 worth to PED and got some armor, a rifle, and some fist thingy. What should I do now?

-The community is 95% adults, my society (guild) leader even has kids.
-Sweating is basically running around collecting sweat from mobs, its much easier and profitable if you get to one of the popular sweating areas, where people just stand in circle around a high level mob and auto sweat it.
-Long, getting 1000 sweat with a sweating group can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, 1000 sweat sells for about 2.5 PED
-Being a real money trade game, i wouldn't expect any handouts, but someone might be willing to give you a lift to a popular sweating area.

just want to add, when you do sweating, you increase your skill in sweat gathering, the higher the skill, you get more sweat more often. ie I can get around 250 sweat in just 10-15min, but it's still quite tedious, and you might just want to get to one of the sweat camps where you can auto sweat, merely checking the game once a min or so.

edit: Seeing as we've got so many new players, I believe we either have to bring in another transport or do another trip another time. But let's meet up at the Port Atlantis Marina at 17:00 Entropia time and we'll see what we can do from there.

Im stuttering like hell, Any help? I've got a decent set up and I max just cause 2, I dont mind playing this on low settings but even then i stutter.

Someone explain why my character has some weird green-ish shit on her neck? Yesterday I had neon-green colours on her unclothed parts, or most of it atleast.

It's good to see so many of you learning the game. Theres no way I could answer all these questions alone, and now some of you have learned enough to start giving advice to even newer players
So are we still all meeting up at 1700 entropia time? I've already purchased enough equipment for the trip. I will be the "protection" I suppose since I have several guns and a good set of armor. I'm also a training paramedic.

I have the same problem. It could possibly be an issue with Nvidia cards.

So I've done the hunting tutorial, it seems pretty smooth. I also found 6,8k Explosive Ammo in a herbivore.

how long would it take before you can do other things than sweating?

without depositing, quite a bit, you could do both "Swunting" where you get together with some people, you sweat a mob until it's out, then kill it with the beginner weapons.
which should only require maybe a 2-4k sweat to get before starting out

I can gather swear, cool. Problem is.. the mob attacks me mostly.
I can't defend myself as both my L weapons are broken either so..well I'm fucked aren't I?

When sweating you're supposed to die, as you gain more benefits from dying such as skills. Death has no loss

..How does dying give you skills? At what, dying less humiliatingly?

As the mobs attack and beat you to death you gain more skills apparently, and as long as you respawn close you'll be okay. The swamp camp is okay for that reason

Ah, true. I gained stuff like Evasion and all when they attacked me.

What is smarter: staying in the gate once done with all missions or go to port atlantis. And is it smarter to save your weapons for sweating or just use them up before?

I check the market value for Explosive Ammo but I can't exactly figure it out. If it says "Day", does it mean that I can get 9k PED for 6,8k Ammo today or that it's been sold for that much today?
An estimate is about 450 PED for it is my second guess.

Market value means many PEDs have been transacted, I think.
You lose nothing when you die, except the ten seconds it takes to respawn.
Come to swamp camps lads!
Also, I tried not to spend my peds.
That lasted about a day, and now I'm down to 20.
