Please understand that the people helping you are doing this in their spare time and you should make it as easy as possible on them.
Before you even make a thread, you should have already tried a couple things on your own. Asking for help every time something goes remotely wrong should be avoided, or should be asked in the Quick Questions thread in H&S General, here.
• Always try to update your video card drivers before asking for help.
--If you have an AMD (or ATI) Radeon HD XXXX videocard (e.g. Radeon HD 4850), click here.
--If you have an nVidia Geforce GTX/GTS/GS XXX(X) ( e.g. 9800 GT, GTX 460 ), Quadro, or ION videocard, click here.
• If your computer won't POST, try resetting the CMOS via jumper or removing the battery and power cables from your motherboard. Also tell the beepcodes it's giving.
• If application x or game x isn't working, check for updates or patches for it, a simple '"application" patch' in Google should provide the necessary links.
Also, don't ask for help for Garry's Mod here, that should be posted here.
If the above simple troubleshooting didn't work, continue to make a thread. Make sure you post your specs, this should be included in just about every post asking for help. The best and easiest way to do this is to use Speccy (click here to download), and publish your snapshot, and give us the link in your OP. An example snapshot link: here.
You may also want to provide us with your load and idle temperatures, or will be asked to provide them. Always post your temperatures if you are having problems with your GPU (video card), or your PC 'randomly' shutting down. To do this, download HWMonitor, run it, and (if you want to give us load temps) play a demanding game for a bit, then tell us the temps (min, max, and current) or give us a screenshot of the application.
If you are getting BSOD please include the most recent Minidump, which is located at C:\Windows\Minidump. Upload it somewhere and provide it in your OP.
Any other information you can think of will help, too, try to be as informative as you can so that the people helping don't have to ask for much, if anything. For instance, tell them the version of the program you're using that isn't working, or tell them the error message that you got.
If you are having internet problems, post the connection speed promised by your ISP, your router model, and your basic network configuration, including the amount of devices connected and their connection type.
• All normal Facepunch rules apply
• H&S rules also apply
• Help or DO NOT POST
