why would Valve pick the Machina of all weapons to show how to make LODs. The weapon has one of the highest polycounts in the entire game, even rivaling player models. And according to the Wiki... the Machina doesn't even currently HAVE lods in-game :x

I would have picked the Direct Hit. The LODs on that are pretty great and it lowers the polycount over 90%

Only fixed the shape, vmt, and vtf. The real jarate has a separate texture for the urine. I'd rather not add another texture in but still open for change I guess

Id strongly suggest that you don't use Jarate at all.

Kinda the same reason why that one guy didnt use secondary weapons on his fanny packs. You dont wanna cause issues with the silloutte and people thinking that he has his jarate out.

I'd suggest going back to the coffee mug.

Hello everyone! I finished my "Universal winter hat".

So i wanted to do a winter suit for the soldier, but I had a lot of work at school, and ronin beat me to it.
So then i was like, heh, i'll make it for the heavy this weekend. But sparkwire beat me to it.
So i made one for the pyro.

Still need to ajust some things, but i have the basic shape.

I was the one who made those "fanny packs" and yes it does apply here in principle. I'll ask valve what they think, if should keep the jarate or not. I do think that the pack's recognizable enough now to warrant the jarate to stay.

The jar's texture is the closest thing you can get to the original texture. i even used the same vmt stats. Its just the uring inside that i did not copy the vmt.

I think the jarate looks fine now, and I've been using the mod version for quite some time and I assure you it's never confused me. The difference is jarate is small on a big backpack whereas your pouches had huge weapons on small packs, strongly dominating the item.

It should stay. This is intended as a secondary weapon, equipping it at the same time as the Jarate is impossible.

Which is exactly why it could potentially confuse people, they could see that and think "Oh, he has Jarate" when he really doesn't. However, I am in favour of it staying, as it's unlikely that you'll see the jarate without seeing the huge backpack.

Also, I just realized, you might not be able to keep that flag on it. Y'know, blue when on RED, red when on BLU.
