The TSA is why I refuse to fly. I refuse to give up my privacy for security, and if that means I spend three days on the interstate instead of three hours on a 737 that's fine by me. If I want to have a liquid over 2 ounces in my car I can. If I want to have a fucking handgun in there? I'm welcome to, I don't have any felonies that would bar me from carrying one. If I want to have my cell phone on when I set off? Car does not give a damn. Best part is that I don't need to be digitally stripsearched before boarding at all, I just open the door and have a seat.

    Driving > Flying. GG TSA.

I much prefer being in control of my transport anyway.

It seems to me that if people want to cause harm to others and are willing to throw away their life in the process, there's not really anything you can do, it's just the risk you take living your life. As the famous quote/saying goes, "Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither." I'd much rather live with a small risk of being bombed than be stripped of the very freedom we so dearly wish to protect.

You have to realize that people who bomb planes plan on losing their life, even if we could stop them with TSA checkpoints, which we can't, they could bomb the security line, they could bomb a subway train with hundreds of people on board, they could bomb a court-house, it's just the risk you take living your life.

At the time it looked like a good idea; it was an extra set of eyes on the pubic and was supposed to identify threats before they got fully into the airport. However, the TSA turned out to be nothing but a joke. There are countless cases of people saying that the TSA

    hehe

I'm okay with flying. Getting past the worst part is just about 5 minutes of your time. But less money should be used on the TSA.

I wouls say it's a waste of money considering I managed to bring a double sided knife in my onboard bag from san francisco to chicago, and then from chicago to syracuse... so at two airports I had been checked and it was not found.... this was post 9/11 mind you so yea it's a waste of money if it's not even working.

we should do what el al does.
    but minus the interviewing shit
    Short bodyscanner,
On the aircraft, the cockpit needs 2 doors to get in. one has a code, the other needs pilot/first officer certification.
    Skymarshals everywhere, with hidden arms.

This shit isnt hard, and works.
    the only hijacking?
    In 1968.
there also has not been ANY accident involving them.
a cargo plane operating as them crashed, but that was cargo. No passengers killed.
