So me and Icebrigade are making a new SCP, with me coming up with the concept and some of the test logs, and me and Icebrigade cowriting it, Ice did most of the writing for the test logs.

Ok that's cool but you can't just dismiss the hundreds of SCPs that aren't scary/creepy, if every anomalous entity was a ~superscary~ evil thing then it would break the point of them even being anomalous because they'd literally all be the same, just different scary things. You're seriously not telling me that "I Am A Toaster" is a bad SCP because it doesn't toast people with its evil toasting lasers or something

And no it doesn't "add to it" whatsoever, it's just a different method of writing a story. If you just tacked on scary elements to perfectly good non-scary SCPs you wouldn't get a better quality SCP, you'd get a shit SCP that doesn't know what it wants to be

There needs to be a scp incorporating this song somehow.
The affect being that the person hears it in a loop in the back of his head, and they cannot notice any negative experiences or feel bad about anything.

I'd like an "Effect is changed by handler/way of handling" or something along those lines, maybe a bit more description before that [EXPUNGED].
Also, the gun modifying it's barrel to fire a rocket sounds silly. And the chainsaw thing is just insanely silly. If it could fire a previously unknown long-range bullet, it can fire a tiny rocket to blow up a tank, or a horizontal spray of bullets to cut down a tree.

I Am A Toaster is a great SCP indeed but I'm just saying I like SCPs with dark undertones more

The original idea was that larger projectiles then what would fit the barrel would materialize with some form of energy in front of the barrel, or something along those lines. The chainsaw could easily be changed to something less ridiculous, though we'd preferably have it be something that normally cuts things, perhaps a circular blade, a simple row of bullets implies that it only shoots different bullet patterns when it could launch a grenade at a group of people, or arrows at targets.
Also the main reason the [DATA EXPUNGED] may have seemed a bit off is that I struggled a bit trying to make the word "emitter" fit in that sentence without the log sounding unsophisticated and got fed up with it. Though If it sounds too out of place I could add a bit more info or perhaps get rid of the [EXPUNGED] altogether.

I guess since it's a gun, it could probably be described as "shoots whatever ammo gets the job done" and therefore comes up with some clever way to do something a gun isn't supposed to do, using ammunition used by some kinda weapon (a description which arrows and grenades apply to, but a chainsaw doesn't)
Also, there could probably be a little "doesn't give out any radiation, can't be penetrated by xray" thing about the mysterious reciever device and at least a little physical description of the it, pointing out, for example, that it isn't found on any known gun and that it being there would prevent the gun from shooting bullets normally. Also, a test regarding changing parts of the gun with either spares or exact replicas is in order.

Interesting, though I'd check to see if something like it has been done before.
Can it zoom into individual atoms? Quarks? Strings?

What happens if you try to edit it in photoshop?
What happens if you put a colour filter on it? Do the atoms change their energy levels?
If you warp parts of the image, do some of the nuclei fuse?
If you don't do a decent experiment log, I will be sad. So few articles actually explore the implications of the SCP, they just go "here's a weird thing, let's not be the tiniest bit curious about its properties"
About the bit where the family was identified, what if the researchers zoomed so far in they could sequence their DNA and found them that way?

You should make a camera that makes pictures that can be indefinitely resized (SCP-XXXX) and the picture could be the only photo they found in the card upon recovery (SCP-XXXX-1).

- I checked and the only other digital image based SCP was that picture of flowers that give off a flower smell when rubbed.
- Yes. I'm also planning to have it so that in an addendum it's discovered that the picture is from an alternate universe where infinite zoom technology has been developed; discovered by comparing tiny discrepancies in the image with real life, and also in that the family in the picture has been dead for a while in the real world.
- I was originally going to have it so that Photoshop crashes when you try to edit it, but I might reconsider. Some of those image editing consequences sound quite interesting.
- Don't worry, I will. If it somehow doesn't end up as showing the consequences of image editing then it'll probably be just comparisons between the alternate world and the "real" world.
I like that concept, but the idea with my SCP is that it's a remnant of the aforementioned alternate universe, a brief teaser into what's in there. Also, one of the SCP cliches is "SCPs what make other SCPs". Good idea though.

Sounds like some buttmad applicant who happened to be a 4chan purist (whatever the fuck that is) got his SCP rejected and wrote this in spite. Ohhh nooo generalizations about redditors and 4channers!
The worst I can say about the foundation's admins is that they're huge nazis when it comes to registrations and articles. That's good, it preserves the content quality.
