I have a pretty lenient ToS/AUP, but one of the things I don't allow is BitTorrent/P2P (restriction from the company I rent servers from). IRC is fine, but if it causes your VPS to be the target of a DDoS, I'll have to null-route you until the attack subsides (pretty standard budget VPS provider policy).
If you need something I don't offer, maybe another distro, I can generally help with that, for example: Arch was requested last week, so that's now an option.
I've been selling since 2009, got plenty of satisfied customers, so you know I'm not going anywhere and I know my shit.

Discounts are available on EU VPSes for open-source contributors, size of which depends on how much you've contributed.

OVH yeah, been running with them for a while now, no problems. IO results below, if there's another test you want doing let me know:

If you're looking for larger VPSes than I show above on my prices, I can sort something out for you probably. 4GB would likely be around $50/m but I'd have to get my spreadsheet out and double check that.

Is legal torrent traffic allowed, I did not see mention of that in the AUP/TOS?

As per the ToS: Clients are prohibited from using BitTorrent, or any other P2P system on their VPS.
It's an OVH policy I'm afraid, there's nothing I can do about that.

Do you buy the nodes just for VPS's, I remember you selling them just to cover part of the bill.

Yeah what I basically do is rent a server, reserve a portion of it for myself and then sell the rest for essentially what it costs me (but with the fact that they take a while to fill up accounted for partially).

How many users do you have on each node for the 2GB plan, and when will there be any US servers? Also what are the specs of the servers.

No plans for new US servers, they sold really slowly last time. Servers are minimum 16GB RAM and 2.6GHz quad-core. New EU ones are 3GHz+/24GB. Number of users depends on the size of their VPSes, I keep an eye on things by hand make sure nodes don't get overloaded.

Sadly, this is one of OVH's most problematic restrictions. They'll only assign one /27 per physical host, and as such IP addresses are quite limited. It's something I offered on the US side where that restriction does not exist. If this is the only limiting issue for you, I can probably work something out to get you a tiny US VPS (64/128MB) for cheap, which would provide cheap redundancy for DNS. I'm also happy to provide DNS on my own nameservers too, I currently have one located in the US and one located in France. I'm adding a second in France to that soon.
As much as I'd love to get servers here in the UK, they cost far more, so I could not replicate these price points.
The French servers provide excellent throughput/latency to the UK though. The below were taken from the VPS master, which is located in Maidenhead, UK.

Ah that sounds good actually, so an US DNS server what I could also use for backups, and then primarily hosted in the EU, only issue with this is that I have no idea how to do such a setup (I have always used virtualmin to do the setup mostly for me, apart form a few tweaks). I currently host my websites and such on my Minecraft communitys VPS and am thinking, I'd rather take some stress off it as we are close to capacity, plus this way I can fuck about all I like without damaging my community whatsoever.
Any chance on a quote for a 128 MB US VPS with 2 IPS and the 512 MB EU VPS with a single ip?

$5/m for the US VPS, $10/m for the EU VPS, total of $15/m for the two. If you buy something bigger EU side, I could likely do the US one cheaper.

Sounds good, unfortunately the next plan up is 1 GB RAM, and it's just a bit overkill for me, though f you could do a plan midway, would be great for me.

If you'd offer a UK VPS I'd buy a years subscription straight out. I want to watch tvcatchup :( Every VPN that I've used with TVCatchup is automatically blocked.. which is horrible.
I can access BBC iPlayer, which I guess makes a VPN worthwhile, but I need TVCatchup. American TV sucks so much :(

I'd really love to, ideally I'd have servers over here since I live here, but they're just so much more expensive that really it's not feasible for me. I can recommend some decent providers in the UK that have reasonable pricing, though, PM me if you want some advice on that.

From what I've seen it's loosely enforced. It very much depends, though. That part of the ToS is there because frequently proxies are left unsecured and illegal activities mentioned elsewhere in the ToS are conducted via their network. They've likely added that to clarify the situation after lots of complaints originating from users running open proxies.
If you're running a proxy for legitimate reasons and it's properly secured, I don't see any issue. Indeed I've ran proxies on OVH before and not had any issues.

On that note, is simply ssh'ing with a tunneling port secure? (Or whatever ssh -D does)

As long as your SSHD is setup securely yes (strong passwords or preferably keys, denyhosts etc).

My US price has always been slightly higher to reflect the higher cost.

Possibly ordering a new US node, anyone still need US VPS? Same pricing as before, $7.50/m for 256MB RAM, $12.50/m for 512MB.
