    Having issues with the Duplicator, when GMod starts I get:
    Code:
    Couldn't include file 'sv_codec_legacy.lua' (File not found) (@addons\tb\lua\advdupe2\sv_codec.lua (line 13))
    [addons\tb\lua\advdupe2\sv_codec.lua:604] attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
    and when I attempt to load a file I get:

    [addons\tb\lua\weapons\gmod_tool\stools\advdupe2.lua:1015] attempt to call field 'Decode' (a nil value)

    sv_codec_legacy.lua failed to be automatically added. Fixed w/ rev 52.

    I haven't taken a look at anything gmod 13 yet, haven't had much time to dig into the GUI.

    That's a prop protection issue.

    I got a problem with downloading dupefiles...
    my FTP program (FileZilla) is in Binary transfer mode..
    but if i download my files to an windows folder, they will break..
    why?

    why not recode serializer to make other char instead of \n ewline?
    cant make backups, without breaking the files

    I had exactly same problem. Here is solution:

    I found solution. If you have same problem and you have Linux server then before copying anything with the binary mode run command via SSH:
    Code:
    sed -e 's/$/\r/' your_dupe.txt > yourdupe_with_a_little_different_name.txt
    And then download new file. Should work.

    I noticed when playing with the contraption spawner, the LastSpawned entity output is not set.

    Transfer from Server#1 to PC = Broken in gmod
    Transfer from Server#1 to PC to Server#2 = Works in gmod..

    I hate linux...

    That's a prop protection issue.
    More disagrees than agrees. Somebody who disagreed please elaborate why they think it's not a PP issue.

    All they have to do is change their prop protection settings to disallow world props.

    Righto, Adv Dupe 2 can create a contraption spawner - this has Wire inputs and such as well. It also has a wire output called LastSpawned, supposedly meant to return the 'base' entity of what was last spawned, but in my tests it is never set to anything, ever.

    That's a pretty broad question pertaining to your problem. Yes AD2 works? And I can save to the public folder. What settings do you think you have correct?

    Not currently, but since GMod 13 is about to be released and I'm about to be out of school, I will work on fixing it.

    The one setting that allows people save stuff in the public folder. Its set to true but still doesn't allow people to save to the public folder.

    Oh, well I was under the impression that you had intentions of including it (because it was there).

    I wanted it for a couple of little projects I have, mainly to save having to include an entire e2 with each duplicate or having to perform expensive searches for it.

    I'm sure others could find uses for it, but otherwise remove the output if you want.

    Well that notification only pertains to moving or renaming a file in the public folder. Which haven't been implemented in the public folder for obvious reasons. I ask which setting specifically that you are trying to change.

    How do I save in the public folder then? I try clicking on the public folder but nothing happens so I have been trying to move a saved file to the public folder instead.

    Has anybody ported to 13?, I personally build a lot and I use a lot of addons like wire, adv duplicator 2, smartsnap, wenlis tools, etc... anybody knows when will these get ported?

    I'm sorry if I seem out of touch, I don't really know many people from the facepunch comunity, but do you or anyone else in here know about any porting plans?, that's the main reason I turned automatic updates off on my gmod..

    Sure, turning kleiner into a giraffe may look fun for a good chunk of gmod players, but those of us who build wont be as excited :/ .. I read that TB is working/going to work on porting adv dupe 2 to gmod13.. but anyone knows about smartsnap?, the last version I've seen online dates from over a year ago.. would be nice to be informed a little bit more :)

    We are porting a GMod 13 version and working to implement new gmod functionality for faster file and network performance. It will also feature a faster and more user friendly file browser.

    I downloaded with SVN, and got errors (wouldn't let me right click), so if you have the same, do this: (I use Notepad++ and the ctrl-F feature)

    open addons\AdvDupe2\lua\weapons\gmod_tool\stools\advdu pe2.lua
    open addons\AdvDupe2\lua\advdupe2\sv_clipboard.lua

    and change all of your ply:GetCursorAimVector to ply:GetAimVector
    and all of SetAngle to SetAngles

    Then, all of the errors magically vanish into the void of expired Lua. Enjoy

    Edit: One thing though: Doing this enables duplication, but the client menu won't show up. all it says is "Duplicate stuff."

    There was some sort of fix for that posted in the thread, check back a page or so.

    Hey.. sometimes my server crash when unfreezing contraptions spawned with dupe2..
    but when spawn unfreezed is checked, it doesnt crash my server..

    anyone knows a fix for this? i have no errors / crashreports.. sorry

    That would seem more like a problem with the phys gun's unfreezing. You can send me the dupe that causes it though if you want.
