I approve of the cave improvements.
It ruins the whole theme of having solid caves and solid lakes.
Not to mention solid ground. Especially that changing the caves conflicts with my ongoing plan to dig down to make storage.

Those caves I made were rushed and crappy looking. I'm glad he took the time to improve them.

Improve them? Dude, he sprinkled them with the airbrush tool for about 5 seconds. If anything it made them look even worse.

Exactly my point, half of the caves are some sprinkle shit while the other half are cool. Nobody had a problem with the caves before.

How about we keep the new caves but get rid of the airbrushing. They would probably look better without the massive fluster of ill placed pixels.
Of course somebody is gonna have to do the work...

The roots of the tree have gone deeper and the moss has grown more also the rain water has gone stagnant .

Justin trys to understand more about this new Plant person so he asks him/her name?

My point is nobody complained about how they were before. I also specifically said that my character had plans to dig down to make storage, and he would run into one of those caves. First the my plan for the bridge, now the cave? Why doesn't the caves affect the whole map, just mostly my area?
    Edit: Declare.

Gibson digs to the bottom of the cave, and immediately begins to even out the surface to maximize storage and appearance. He works as fast as he possibly can, not knowing if the cave might collapse.

You can make the caves look better if you want, just don't expand them too much or add some crazy stuff down there.

    Sure enough.

By the way my object is about the same size as the weird tree. That seem reasonable?

Thanks to some weird depth perception shit, the strange, and rapidly descending, object appeared rather small and blue. Now having almost reached the slab of land, which we all call Terra Firma, it's apparent that it's slightly larger and less blue than was, at first, realized.

What's more apparent is the rather high pitched sound that it's making during the fall, suggesting that it's travelling at quite a sizeable amount of speed. To further add onto the distress there's a large amount of flames and smoke pouring out, courtesy of that physical force we all know and may not love; air resistance.

I wonder what the inhabitants will make of this significant event?

    Declare.

    Edit:

Gibson finishes evening out the cave. He evened out the top surfaces with an old retracting ladder he found while cleaning the floor up. He climbs to the top and puts his shovel back in the chest.

Justin creates a ramp leading to the out side , and a hatch to close if needed. B ut he soon realises that there is a meteor going to hit so he screams to Ekidu and the crystal plant guy" theres a meteor every body inside ".

And? Practice makes perfect. If you don't try then you'll forever wallow in your pit of incompetence. If you do then you'll eventually improve and be among the "good" pixel artists.

I mean look at me, about 3 months ago I was shit at pixel drawing and spriting. Now I can draw reasonable well scenes and sprites such as that falling meteor and some tentacle monster (different thread)

In short; have a go and hey you might have some fun.

    time to declare!

    Edited:

As Justin runs down into the mines shouting to everyone, Ekidu loses concentration and whacks a massive boulder causing the bottom of the mine to collapse. In doing so the clay and rocks give way pouring down into the depths as if it were magma. Ekidu stops to listen. [sploosh!] went the timber as it plummeted into the water.
'I think it is time to take cover, don't you?' replies Ekidu to Justin's frantic shouting. The sentient senses the stress in the earth and the stress of the planet's magnetic field and starts to make its way towards Ekidu.

[I have not added any resources or anything in the caves as they have not been explored, seems only logical. Aside form the water and clay]

Ekidu takes the remaining piece of timber and creates some climbing pegs. He sticks a few down the newly opened shaft and climbs downwards.
    Ekidu-
It's too dark! I can't see anything down here!

Meanwhile, the other plant-like sentient moves towards Ekidu in an autonomous manner.

I've been considerate enough to provide people with reasonable space and exploration and tried to make it 'realistic' as possible. Also, without adding resources I think it opens up the potential more. If you want at a later stage I can fix some of the smaller ones.

No. It makes it realistic. I actually based the caves off real pictures so it has a sort of '3D effect' Besides you got enough space to do what you want so it's not going to hinder anything.

Gibson covers the entrance to the storage room with a hidden rock door that camoflauges with the other rocks on the floor. He moves the chest aside.
    The water level has subsided.

Just so everyone knows. I am working on mine right now. Sorry for the delay. Will be done in <15 minutes.

    Edit:

Jason hears shouting and somewhat understands what Justin is saying. He decides to go deeper underground. He lets his barricade loose and the logs come flying down, the leftover water with them. He takes the longest log and proceeds to use it as a shovel. It works much better than his hands so he makes good progress. He wonders what exactly the commotion was outside...and the ground begins to shake as he digs.

Declare since nobody else is on.
    Edit:

Gibson has built a door, which also has a rope on the inside, which when you pull, releases a deadly amount of stones on any intruders or trespassers. The door also has a glass peephole to see who is at the door.

Jason continues to dig. Little does he know there's a little fall awaiting him if he does not dig down more before moving forward...Meanwhile, the water by the logs continues to drip...
