I thought something felt wrong when I started playing CS:GO. I think it's the tracers that come out of the gun that feel weird, the tracers do not actually represent where the bullets go, so really your gun will be spraying tracers one direction real bullets another. When I play I visually use the tracers trying to hit the person when that isn't where the bullets really go. Anyone else notice that?
Isn't that what an office typically is? This office is actually less depressing than a real office because there aren't any cubicles.

So I decided to play some CS:S on my own today, I just realized how much bullshit is pumped into it sometimes.
-You can shoot someone square in the face and chest, and they walk off with about 34hp, no matter armor or not.
-People are able to pull off headshots with the awp by shooting a split second after scoping, even though you cannot
-No matter how much you can shoot someone, they will always win with the lowest health possible
-Everyone will headshot you with any weapon and still kill you in one hit, even though you cannot
-Everyone will do the one thing you cannot do
Hopefully CS:GO, when released, will be a hell of a lot better than CS:S
have you ever thought of the fact that you're terrible at the game? cs:s is literally the easiest cs out of the however many there are.

I'm relatively new to CS:S, I've played around 12 hours and it's not as bad as you make it out to be. It takes getting used to, for my first 5-6 hours I was hopeless and didn't get many kills but once you get used to it it becomes a lot easier.
If you're referring to spectating people who are using the awp and watching them get kills after scoping, its probably just a delay between what you see, what they see and what has actually happened.
Practice more. This is something about you, not the game itself.
If someone feels like sharing a beta key for dota 2, or cs:go I'd be forever greatful, and appreciative.

Too right, his method isn't even CSM, it's just overlaid orthographic projected textures with absolutely no view frustum splits or anything complicated. I'm sure that when Valve decide to add something, they do it the right way instead of some hacky way.
The point is that It's ridiculous claiming Valve was directly inspired by a modder that altered something that was already there. I'm not meaning to be a dick and I should have just let it go but it insults the intelligence of people working at Valve.
Yeah, even implying that they would use such a hacky method (even if it is Valve) is pretty stupid to begin with. They already had the system in place for Dota 2 without any hacky shit - all they did for CS:GO is add cascades which is easy compared to getting the basic shadowmapping stuff to work.

VALVe isn't the team primarily developing CS:GO
We all know this shit, therefore; the lighting is that dev's choice and implementation, they probably found some easy-ish way to implement it on some website, and plugged it into source, same with FXAA.
Not really, Valve are quite capable of doing everything without much effort, it's whether they need to or not... The lighting is the same as Dota 2's, just with cascades (I'll bet Dota 2 has cascaded shadowmapping support, but it's just disabled because there's no point for a top down game.)

The textures look like ass and reminds me so much of the Dead Center campaign in L4D2, which I once thought were flat color textures.

I don't understand how anyone can stand playing dust/dust2 anymore, you'd think people would get sick of it after a few years, but nope most 1.6/css servers run them 24/7.
because dust2 is the most balanced map there is?
