Seeing as there are a few Facepunchers that play Forza 4 are interested in racing, and there's never enough of us online at the same time, I figured I'd host a "Time Attack" event, complete with prizes. If this event goes well, I will probably host more with different types of racing. Have fun!

The Event:

Participants must obtain a Honda S2000, and download the tuning setup I created for it. Everyone will be driving the same car. The track the race is held on will be "Camino Viejo Extreme," both the standard and sunset variations of the track are fine. You must then complete one lap from the start - lap 2 and beyond will not be valid laps. "Dirty" laps will not be valid either, in order to keep participants from using the "rewind" feature until they produce a better lap time than they normally would.

When:

From now until I say so, most likely under a week, but I will update this post when the event is over.

How to participate:

*Purchase a Honda S2000
*Download the necessary tune setup from the Storefront by searching "fpattack" or my gamertag "ObscureThought."
*Produce a clean "Lap 1" time on "Camino Viejo Extreme" on either the standard or sunset variant
*Upload the replay with your lap time to your storefront, tagged with "fpattack" somewhere in the name or description
*Post in this thread, also PM me to be sure I am aware you would like to post or update your lap time.

Prizes:

The first prize winner of the event will win a custom painted and S-class tuned McLaren F1 GT, with a performance index of 700 made to be competitive overall in online races.





In addition to this, a raffle will be held for all participants excluding myself and the winner of the event - Participants will automatically be entered when they post a lap time, and will receive a custom painted and S-class tuned Lotus Elise '99 with a performance index of 700, designed to be competitive online, especially in tracks with a lot of corners and few straightaways.

Nah, the whole point of it being a time attack is so everyone will get the chance to participate on their own time.

You've probably got a good week or so. Whenever I get tired of keeping track of everything, or if nobody new posts times I'll stop the event.

ok, you'll probably get my time tomorrow afternoon. so the car, it's just a Honda s2000 with your tuning setup? no restriction on anything else to do with the car? and is a dirty lap where you rewind, or is it cutting corners on the track?

Yeah, it's just a S2000 with the setup. You can paint it however you want.

Dirty laps are both rewind and cut corners, that "!" symbol next to the lap time. If it turns out to be too much of a hassle i'll probably lift that rule, it's not like this is some super-formal thing. I just want things to be as fair as possible.

Ok, I try to avoid cutting corners when doing a hot lap anyways.

Requiring a cold (not hot?) lap though is kind of strange. What's the reasoning behind that?

It's easier for me to keep track of the times, and trying to chain clean laps gets really annoying.

I guess it's more or less the same reason why Top Gear does the same thing with their lap times.

Managed 3:24, don't know how the heck you've managed 3:10.
EDIT: Checked the replay and it seemed I went off the track twice, even though it recorded it as a clean lap.
Re-did it and I've managed a clean 3:21.

3:14:753 is the best I've done so far, but it wasn't a clean lap, I fell off the track in one corner.
