Im planning on buying parts today, just wondering on what people think of the spec and if there is any changes that could be made


(I will be reusing my Nivida 560 GTX incase your wondering why there is no GPU )
Budget is pretty much hit so i cant really add anything more on price wise, taking away is always good tho

Seperate note. Planning on installing my current HDD to the new box but it has a copy of windows installed on it, will it cause any issues if i install the HDD after the OS on the new HDD is?

that combo is a bit crap, the mobo is out of stock, and theres much better options for the heatsink

the define XL is a very nice case but if you're looking to cut down that would be the easiest thing to change, hell even changing to the define R3 would net you an extra £35

easiest way to completely avoid any problems with the HDDs is to only leave the new HDD installed, install the OS, then connect the old HDD and remove the old windows files (if that's what you're intending to do?)
make sure you check http://www.scan.co.uk/todayonly/index.aspx when it updates in a couple of hours to see if any of these parts are available, or if there's a useful combo on there

yeah i was intending on adding the old hhd with my files on after i had the os all up and running and thankies for the feedback can save a bit buy cutting down on the psu and case :D

Honestly, I wouldn't cut down on the PSU. You'd need about 500w at peak, but having a PSU at around 6-700w would be good as it puts your PSU in its efficiency range when you're gaming.

( It depends if you OC )

Little bit of a bump but I got everything and set it all up today :D, was alot easier then I thought it would be, took me the most amount of time finding where the case wires went into the mobo
( i didnt have the windows disk in then )
