What is so different about people from the internet? Does it somehow mean they are instantly pedophiles/rapists? You are putting a pretty dumb twist on it to make it sound bad/creepy.

I have met up with people from the net 10+ times, a few of them came to visit me and I stayed at some of theirs (Who doesnt want free accomodation and a free tour guide in another country??), including people from Sweden, Netherlands, Cyprus, US, and Wales/England/Scotland, and they were all just normal people.

You can spot a creep/weirdo from miles away on the internet, unless you agree to meet up with someone after cybering with someone a few times in a Yahoo chat room.

I'm definitely a serial killer/rapist. better watch out. I mean why would you trust this face?

    Or this one?

Look out guys, I have a liter of lube already packed and ready and a dragon dildo. Better not drop your tent or your super camping chairs.

Anyway, i can trade sexual favors for my fire making abilities. You need to decide among you who will make the human sacrifice for warmth and safety from english bears.

NEWSFLASH!! not everyone from the internet is a weirdo and not everyone is out to kill you or rape you, in fact the majority of people from the internet are usually incredibly well mannered day to day people and just have an inflated sense of self worth when they are behind a screen.

Im standing in York station now and there is a huge pile up of trains in the north east, the station and roads are flooded in newcastle, and my roommate texted me to say our flat is flooded as well. Cancellations/delays left right and center

    *EDIT

They squished two trains of people onto one and set us away, bearing in mind it is at 95-100% humidity and around 20 degrees so the train is literally like a sauna, im actually looking forward to the northern weather, despite the extremely long walk back to my flooded flat because the buses/metro lines are closed.

Thanks, just got home, it wasnt too bad because my roommate blocked the door up with towels and other stuff, so really we only have a soggy carpet/kitchen with some dirt in it from the water. Lucky he did though because our neighbor was out all day and when she got back most of her flat was flooded and the electrics were screwed so she needs to stay somewhere else until it dries.

I'm just glad to get back, it was supposed to be a 1 hour journey and it took 5 hours, mostly standing in a burning hot carriage that was packed so tight you couldnt move. Its nice to have a shower and a change of clothes.

I kinda wish I was here to see it though, apparently it was quite a sight to behold. In a short space of time it went almost completely dark, then we got hit with enormous hailstones and what amounted to around 30 days worth of rain in the space of 30 mins - 1 hour. Newcastle would be totally fine normally but there was such a huge amount of rain in such a short space that the drainage systems were overflowing for a while until it stopped.

Mang, I wouldn't get within a mile of flood water like that. You basically have a primordial soup of every last horrible thing in the city. human/animal waste, diseases, bacteria (the worst kinds), molds (the kinds that will eat your lungs if inhaled), dangerous chemicals that are possibly carcinogenic and the list goes on.

If you waded around in that stuff, I hope you didn't have any nicks or cuts and promptly bleached and disinfected yourself. The same goes for your flat. And just because it didn't completely flood your flat, doesn't mean it didn't get in the walls where it can start mold/fungus colonies and cause severe health problems later on.

I just got back from helping my new housemates move in to our new house in newcastle, I couldn't get back home to Scotland due to all the road closures, so i stayed another day and went to an all-you-can-eat restaurant and watched battlestar galactica. Day well spent in my books.

I noticed it was raining pretty heavily and when i was in the hallway it was really dark even though it was only 4pm. Looked outside, the sky was green and there was a river in the street. Lol.

Did you go to Lau's 202 or one of the Chinatown buffet places? They are pretty awesome.

Also what, you are moving into Newcastle too? I live in Jesmond, just a few mins on the bus from the city centre.

Oh yeah I remember now, after i45 I remember coming upon Hezzys facebook for whatever reason that there were a few people from FP there. You could just make out my PC in his cover photo.

I'll could bring my slackline along to the camp if anyone is interested, they are a good laugh and pretty addicting.

If anyone doesnt know what slacklining is (The guys in the video dont use trees as anchor points, but its just as good and I can bring something to protect the part of the tree that it goes around):

Its actually much harder than it looks, and they can take up to something like 3-4 tonnes of weight so they are pretty safe to bounce/jump on.

I wouldn't say Konakona or St0rmforce came across as awkward in the slightest. I think just talking and making conversation gets rid of the awkwardness when you're surrounded by like-minded people.

Kona I'm bringing my Game Of Thrones stein next year so we can drink mead and beer out of it and debate long into the night about what's going to happen!

I had to buy a new slackline which I ordered last night, I just found out the expected delivery time is 10-14 days. The site did say they had stock and they post next day, so hopefully they are just saying that to cover their asses if they have stock issues.

Slacklining is pretty cool! My housemates at uni have a couple of varying length lines and a trickline between them, i absolutely suck at it but its good fun regardless, better yet alcohol makes it more entertaining. This is a very good idea.
