All on Ultra. I can do it on a C2Q and a OC'd 460 so it'll run on your PC easily.

No he can't, and you can't either. Even on high neither of you can hit an average of 60fps at that resolution.

    Edited:

In fact the highest playable settings HardOCP found for the GTX 560 Ti was 1680x1050 on high.

I used g2play to get BF2 a few years ago, worked fine. Haven't used Ultimatum but I haven't seen anyone having problems with them.

Why? I understand that for an FPS (especially in multiplayer) 60fps is preferred anything past 35ish is playable especially with motion blur, either way he'll get around 40-50 on ultra.
Not to mention BF3 is a pretty slow paced game as far as shooters go.

Motion blur looks horrible at low fps, input lag.

Try them separate and benchmark them, I can't see it being the cards themselves unless you're very very unlucky.

CoP benchmarks just go way over my head, no idea of the performance you should be getting on them.

What will be the most outdated in ~1 year, and what upgrade would give me the largest performance boost?

voltage is the only one that might cause crashes (undervolting to match other RAM), otherwise you can put whatever RAM you want together, just know that they'll all be as fast as the slowest

Technically those are all outdated right now. You'll want a new graphics card first though, as that platform is still decent for gaming.
