First point is interesting. The intel is still leagues better than that A-Data, yet it does use the same controller. I'm guessing Intel did something different with it, otherwise it wouldn't be considered to be so much better.
Second point, I haven't kept up with Samsung's SSD game, and nobody in the thread has recommended them. Judging by the AnandTech benchmarks on actual usage, they are very competitive in performance, and beats other SSDs in many categories. I think I was wrong with my initial recommendation, because that Samsung would probably be the best SSD available by price at the moment.
That Adata still looks pretty mediocre in most usage scenarios. Not as bad as I initially thought (Never seen anything good come from them) but not really the top of the pack

edit: yeah, looks like Intel did some pretty serious work with reliability on the sandforce controller.

I'll go with the Samsung! Apparently there isn't much difference with 830 and M4, but the 830 is cheaper and I feel like Samsung is more reliable.
