Damn it, if you were Republic I'd totally play.
Damn it, if you were Republic I'd totally play.
Why the hell would you skip the side quests? Some of them are actually kinda nice.
how to stop NPC's From casting spells and break the game
1. Type /Getdown
congrats! now you know!
vanguards are the best
when you move does it make your character run really fast
no the animation is frozen sadly
Got my account back about 12 hours ago. Been playing since, I might be almost addicted.
I hope there is an expansion pack that features Naboo, where the Empire and Republic make peace, and destroy all the Gungans.
Watching Episode 1 on Bluray and seeing Jar-Jar's new higher polygon model re sparked my hatred for the gungans.
They won't find out who all entered the command and ban them or something right?
Technically it's an ingame exploit, so there is always a chance of breaching TOS.
I really need to control my playtime on this game.
I skipped working out yesterday and played this game for 12 hrs straight and I feel like absolute shit.
But my Vanguard's at lvl 20 now so its all good :)
Is this worth playing for someone who played the everloving fuck out of the knights of the old republic games or is it more like a generic mmo?
It's great, you should get it if you loved Kotor
Combat is WoW like, but there is a emphasis on your class quest. It feels like the game starts at level 1 rather than at endgame.
I don't know what it is about the conversation system but it makes questing feel more real. Its so different from just reading some text and then going to go do something.
This is pretty for anyone from WoWers to Star Wars fans. It's not generic due it's not go here and kill 10 boars or someshit. Pretty much all the side quest have a story to them making each quest unque in a way. Plus you got companion romances and quest which makes them interesting
so in every champion gear bag i've wasted time getting i only get 3 centurion comms, i notice it says there a chance for a champion item.... are they sure?
oh man, that /getdown video made me crack up
Just finished a Heroic area with a group right before the server went down and the boss ends up dropping a purple quality lightsaber. Everyone rolls need except for one person and the server goes down before anyone got it. Felt bad for 'em since I'm a BH.
I'd play my Knight, but my RL friends are Empire so \/
Plus I'm enjoying the Inquisitor more.
Edit: Fuck, the servers would be down when I'm gonna play after not playing for two days. :
And they are down for eight hours sooo \/
hmmmm is there a demo out? some sort of trial? MMOs are a hell of a commitment
So who entered the CAD TOR Photoshop contest? Deadline was a few hours ago. I entered with:

This is now the third time I've started the launcher forgetting about the maintenance.
Looks like they're really planning to release a patch each week, hopefully for a while.
1.0.2 Patch Notes 1/4/2012
http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes
This reminds me of the bug on Balmorra where other players would appear hanging underneath those shuttle transport taxis, looks amazing when there's 4 in a row of them.![]()
Servers are back up already!
I thought you were joking. but they are.
what happened to the 8-9 hour downtime?
Don't question it, just be glad that it was 3 hours instead of 8-9.
Perhaps they just give themselves plenty of hours to work on it, if it's done sooner then all the better.
No need to work under pressure each maintenance.

Was helping a friend and came upon this
When I played WoW for like a week im pretty sure it was button mashing.
Plus they're comparing a game that came out 3 weeks ago to a game that's been out for 7 years and had to correct its mistakes.
I took a networking class, one thing we always did was take the time we thought we could do something in and double it because if something does go wrong, its going to take forever to fucking fix.
After the latest patch I can't seem to log into my Bounty Hunter character on Balmorra any more, maybe it's just something with Balmorra being bugged since a lot of people mentioned that in the forums.
Hope it gets fixed soon.
Is it worth the money? Im strongly considering it, but im not so much for monthly fees, and this is the first MMO that really caught me.
Oh I just adore it when someone does an LFG with one more spot left for the heroics I need to do and it turns out it's a group of buddies who want to do a bunch of solo quests in the area first which takes bloody ages. Then I mention that I kinda joined to do the heroics but that causes more complaints about how I should be patient and that XP is always good.
Stop wasting my time and don't LFG if you're not going to do the bloody heroics first.
I 100% agree Turtlehead. I have joined countless groups for heroics or flashpoints and it seems like someone/the whole group (besides me because I am srs bsns) likes to get side tracked and take like 15 minutes to reach the area. Yesterday I joined a group for Foundry and our tank took ~20 minutes to get from the fleet to the flight path and we could not find a replacement even though we were trying in Guild chat.
You get 30 days for free if you subscribe once, which you can then later on cancel.
I'd say it's worth the money so far, it does a great job at explaining the mechanics and all your options as well so it's a good choice for a first MMO.
Just expect a few bugs here and there, which I'm sure will be fixed soon.
