Can somebody please explain to me how those guys over at the KSP roleplay section intend on war? It's not like you can hit any structures with bombs or even attack or defend your base, so how would they go about doing that?
They'll get on some shitty browser game like Habbo and roleplay fight.
My first orbit! So happy. The time before the Periapsis was inside of the planet so it wasn't an orbit. This time I made a mostly perfect orbit. It is tilted and not along the equator so I can't extend it to the moon, but I am just happy that its a nice orbit. The Apoapsis is about 1,341,150km and the Periapsis is around 1,064,000 km. Oh, and I am using no mods.
My first orbit's perikee was just over 40km and was acheived usimg a desigm for gettting into orbit in the days of the old atmosphere. One edited part, stock engine edited to twice power and double consumption
So my second orbit was much like the first, but I brought some extra fuel and modified my orbit to just barely clip into the moon's. It worked after a month of orbiting and the Apoapsis above the moon was about 200k. The only problem was that there was no Periapsis and I had no fuel to create one... So instead the pod used the moon as a slingshot! And now I orbit the sun.. I have a chance to hit the planet's orbital field but it is very short and rare. Shame I used all my fuel trying to fix my orbit. If I left it be I would be orbiting the moon, instead they are left to orbit the sun like a comet.

I'm having quite the hard time trying to land on the moon.
I managed to get my orbit correct so that I would swing by the moon at the correct time, however, I was waaaay too far above the moon, which resulted in me being flung out into space and spending.
50+ days of watching Jeb grin with excitement at how they all were about to die in deep space.
Same happens to me, every time. My orbit ends up not on the equator so I miss the mun. My rocket's are powerful enough to reach it, the aiming is hard part.
I've been trying to make a Saturn V-esque three stage system. Got alot of mod parts downloaded but none of them seem to really increase my ability to do things effectively. I have a hard time trying to manage fuel.
I've got a massive (compared to my other successful rockets) thing that needs 4 of KW's most powerful boosters and five of their most powerful liquid engines to get to a good place to start turning for orbit. In fact, ejecting my booster packs (srb+big 3m tank with little one on top Fuel lined to main tank and the big 3m engine) attempting to get into orbit just makes the thing explode.

I've been trying to make a huge solid rocket booster pack to launch me to an acceptable orbit, then using a second stage with a large amount of fuel for orbital adjustments and getting myself to the moon. Then using the third stage to land on the moon, and then take back off again to meet back up with Kearth. Not sure if my method is solid though, but I did manage to get close to the moon with a quarter of my second stage fuel left.
Also: I love the damn retro boosters from that one mod pack, can't remember the name. Really saves my ass most of the time so my shit doesn't blow up as soon as it detaches. I've had too many incidents where my SRB detaches, slams into my fuel tanks, and sends my whole craft spiraling through the atmo.
No idea why but this song works perfectly with Kerbal Space Program.

On your navball, you'll see a line with 270 on the left and 90 on the right. Keep your ship on that line as you launch and as you leave Kerbin orbit if you want to keep on track to hit the Mun.
For some reason old 80's cartoon movie soundtracks work perfectly for KSP background music!

How to extract Jebediah Kerman's faces? I wanna make an apng of him.
I need to get some good screenshots for a KSP chrome theme, I'll touch them up and render them. I just need some high resolution, clean, and anti aliased screenshots.
I can provide anything you need on max quality with resolutions up to 1920x1080 or was it 1920x1080 (except like, landing on the Mun. I can't do that)

EDIT:
Basically massive primary stage, then a secondary to get to orbit. Tertiary (inside the payload fairing) does the TLI and munar injection, then the lander separates. The lander can take off and do the home burn as well, or the capsule has engines on it.

How do you guys keep your engines from shifting under the weight of the rocket?
If you get a minute, get a good number of orbital shots, with the HUD hidden. (F2 as I'm sure you know)
Try something with Silisko Edition.
Also anybody who contributes pictures will get a little textbox with their username in it.

Don't put all the weight on one engine. Strap some boosters to the side.

But more boosters is also more weight etc. This rocket takes me to the mun but the first stage is wonky.
How can I make a tank supply 2 engines? The fuel pump only makes it go to ONLY ONE, while ignoring the engine directly below it on the stack
