Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost positive there's forced latency in SC2 as well.

Whenever I see a streamer play on a server in a different region, the lag is barely noticeable. I really don't know how it works.
Everything in the engine is synced exactly the same for everyone. That's why the game completely halts or slows down if even one person is lagging. Even observers.
Genius.
Is PvT really that bad a MU right now? I mean sure EMP and storm can both be imba as hell, though everything is if you do it right.
Like I dunno if there's a fuzz at all but I like it.
Is anyone even actually interested in the Harbingers? Like waiting for map 3? Because if the hype isn't that great im thinking of putting it on hold so I can start my Resident Evil Project. If people are actually waiting to play it then Ill finish it first.
You should work on what you want to work on![]()
BUT IF PEOPLE WANT HARBINGERS MAP 3 I NEED TO FINISH IT. IF NO ONE IS BOTHERED ITS DELAYED THEN ILL WORK ON RESIDENT EVIL fucking caps.
Did you just type all of that without looking at your screen?![]()
I don't like it because if anyone makes a mistake in the inevitable deathball clash your army just disappears in 4 seconds.
yes, caps is my talk button on Mumble.
I present you some awesome creative starcraft cake with the amazing tunes of bw in the bagground
Well the thing is for me, the team that i'm on for starcraft we have cross-world players so we bought multiple accounts for different places.

Oh my. In the NA 75$ Daily tournament on Playhem, I beat my first opponent, a Top 8 Masters Terran, but my second opponent was Yang, a Rank 24 Australian Grandmaster.
I got raped.
Oh god, deathdrops as zerg so fucking fun. Run in with like 20 roaches and 40 zerglings, the guy is like OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK and can't do shit because he choked his army and I win.
At least you beat someone, also you should stream your playhem like many do.

My best guess is that sc2 not only makes a connection to bnet but the opposing player as well and the moment the dropper begins to loose they'll ddos the connection of the opponent.
A second possibility is, that the game won't list a disconnect as a loss (aka pull out the plug)
Third, forcing a desync by feeding bnet bogus data. Since it can't actually check what data is right it refuses to resolve it at all.
Essentially the game is still P2P which allows you to do these things. The server itself isn't what feeds the player the data.
Zerg can afford it. Plus thorauder is like the slowest moving army. hell leapfrogging tanks is sometimes faster. You'll barely ever be able to move out to damage on foot.
Streams make me lag like hell.
How much ram do you have open? You may have to give some over to what ever program you plan to use.
I honestly suggest http://www.xsplit.com/
I do use Xsplit. My settings for streaming are usually 1280X720, and 15 FPS, which makes me lag. Any lower and the quality is terrible, so I just don't bother streaming.
How do I check how much ram I have open?
Start > Computer > System properties> voila!
I stream 100fps 1920x1200, not to brag.
voilà or voila
not wallah goddamn
how do people actually think that its wolla or wollah or wallah or w/e, honestly
Goddamn. Bad Manner Unpause People.
no man, it's vióla!!1!
Better yet, Bad Manner people.
If they're BMing nothing wrong with BM unpause
Took me 13 hours to realize what you meant.
You paused the game and your opponent unpaused!
Don't most streamers need a fast HDD? Since I assume they're saving a lot of temp video
No. HDD speed affects things like load times. Not the quality or speed of the stream. What matters is mostly your CPU and upload speed.
Edited:
The CPU handles the processing and encoding of the stream, and the upload is kinda obvious, it uploads the streamed video.
Yeah it is retarded, what is the point of even playing if your opponent isn't there? Does it honestly make some of these people feel good about themselves when they win like that? I have had that happen so many times and it is goddamn infuriating.
I just love Protoss who cannon rush other Protoss. I just got out of a 2v2 with my buddy who mains Zerg against P&T, we didn't see the 'toss had set up the pylon until the first cannon actually went down. My buddy shat a small ingot while I just built a cannon at each of our bases and completely shut down their cannon rush, then I dropped a warp prism to stop them from expanding while my buddy teched up and built up a 200 supply army. During this their T was sitting with his thumb up his ass building marine/marauder/siege because when you're 20some minutes into the game marine/marauder/siege + void ray spam is a good idea against hydras, ultralisks, infestors, blink stalkers and immortals (I had 3/3/1 upgrades, their Terran had the highest on their team with 1/1).
Then I went into a 1v1 queue against a guy who got a fast forge + proxy pylon (who didn't actually expand until I was getting my third) in my smoke ports on Metalopolis (this one I actually noticed before it was even built) who claimed that I owned him and he wasn't trying to cannon rush me.
There are people that only care about winning. Personally I play for fun and that's why I don't play anymore. 1v1 is kinda boring once you do it for a while, especially when you're doing really long sessions. It gets frustrating after a while, people say to just stop caring, but it's harder to not care than to say to not care.
I want to know why they even let them unpause right after you paused it. They really should add a wait (like 5 minutes, maybe?) before you can unpause the game someone else unpaused, so you still can't pause and hope they just leave, but they can't be as BM with it.
Well, that would suck because there is some who use pause to harass other people, like people who pause the game and yell "EZ!1!" and "get out" at you. It's perfectly fine as it is now in my opinion.
No, it's not fine. You've obviously never had to shit or take a piss in the middle of a game, and don't say "hold it in herp derp", because that's stupid, when you gotta go you gotta go.
So you're telling me you'd rather sit there getting BM'ed for 5 minutes, rather than unpausing and resuming the game?
Yes. I'd rather that than be fucked over when I have to piss and play.
Alright sure. Opinions.

Not to mention if that happened you can just alt tab and do something else for those 5 minutes, nobody said you had to stay and watch the BM.
