REALLY excited about this game... been following it since announcement but haven't been lucky enough to get into the beta. Hope I can get in and test out the game sometime soon or the next month or so, even if I don't I'm still buying it for sure though and will be encouraging all of my friends to buy it.

i used to use my W/E a lot in pvp but whenever someone ran away i threw a fireball (which usually killed them), i liked some of the comments i recieved for doing that.
but sometimes unusual builds do work

I used a necro/paragon for a while, is that a weird combination? It worked pretty well, considering I used a spear to do ranged physical damage and a bunch of hexes that effect physical damage. Still not as good as your standard SS echo spammer though..

We didn't, silly. We're all waiting and discussing GW1, and getting points in the Hall of Monuments. That's probably what confused you.

Don't worry, they said they're going to drastically increase the size of the open betas in March and April, chances are anyone on the Newsletter list is going to get in. Go to the website and sign up for the newsletter just to be sure.

Put -image after the launch path in the properties for GW.exe, then let it patch all the files.

You wont have to patch anything else after that.

I keep arguing with a friend who says gw2 is going to be a grind fest with quests like every other mmo, keeps telling me to prove that it isnt -_- he plays WoW and it infuriates me that he thinks its a good game.
Even after all the videos i have showed him about the massive bosses and dynamic events he still thinks its all go here kill that go back and hand it in :(
I dont think he understands the concept of a dynamic game which i guess isn't really his fault seeing as there hasn't been an mmo like it yet. He keeps calling me a guildwars fanboy which i guess i am but with good reason, i played guildwars 1 for years and enjoyed it more than any other mmo and he keeps playing WoW and sitting in a city pretending that he is good when in actual fact he's just the same as every other player in the game.

Stop worrying about what he thinks. You know it's going to be good, and once billions of reviews pour in about how amazing it is, he will probably end up trying it. Then he will know it's good.

Guild Wars 1 and WoW are not too different when it comes to questing and "sitting in a city pretending that he is good when in actual fact he's just the same as every other player in the game.", why would you judge him for liking a different game or, for that matter, care?

Because they weren't discussing GW1, they were discussing GW2.
We have all already established that GW2 has nothing to do with its predecessor gameplay wise.

Thanks that helped! But i found out i was hacked :( Haven't played in a month due to alot of work and school... This is not helpful. I HATE people who steal from other players' hard work. God if i ever get my hands on who did it... Wouldn't be pretty. He also messed up all my settings -.- If he would just take the items and leave...

Edit: Lol, 93k items with that -image thingy. xD

Edit2: Person who hacked my account didn't remove alot... Apparantly some armor from my main and my mesmer, and removed alot of bs from my xunlai, all my mats are gone, but he was using? my rit as an SoS rit to run the underworld i guess. Overall, i did not lose alot of value in gold. Woohoo.
