Last night I dreamt I found a pokemon red cartridge lying around. (I've always had blue)
Then I woke up.

Every time I used to play against my boyfriend in HG/SS (who, might I add had much lower leveled Pokemon then I do and STILL beat the E4, no problems, doesn't do complex training and barely played the damn game) he wiped the floor with my ass, and I still can't figure out why.
So that, is why I don't play against actual people.
Though I've yet to fight him in B/W, mostly because I've beaten the game and he hasn't even gotten 5 gym badges yet. :l

Same happened to me.
Apparently Extreme Speed has priority over priority moves.

It's just unstoppable unless you have a steel or rock type that can hit back.
I had a drifblim, but all he had was shadow ball. The linoone had night slash.

On the topic of UU vs OU.
UU definitely has more variety, but there's still quite a few things that just flat out dominate.
We elected to only play UU at uni, because it was devolving into the standard OU metagame which nobody liked, but then we just ended up with more of the same crap, toned down slightly.
Like eviolite chansey, stealth rock every game and weather abuse. None of which we really enjoyed.
Nobody is playing with weather teams any more because we all realised they're not fun to play against and everyone just kind of silently agreed to never use them again, after a few disturbingly unfun rounds.
(For instance the time my hail stall team went over 100 turns before finally winning with a glaceon vs like 4 other pokemon on the enemy team by simply PP stalling the fuck out of them and abusing wish/protect)

So that DS Lite that I had stolen a few months ago just got replaced by my future sister-in-law.. With a blue 3DS. I was about ready to cry.
I'm definitely going to get a replacement for my lost Pokemon games now, but I don't know whether to get Black or White.

basically ash has about half his badges already (not nearly as much filler as previous seasons), is actually catching lots of pokemon and rotating his party, and team rocket is off doing some different evil bullshit instead of hassling the gang

Using the official wiki, found out after 4 of 5(I think, either 3 to 4) fell for her, the last one that attacked her was female as well, and she thought that the person who tried to get her is worthy(the person using the weaker type is not smart fyi). And the usual enemies are badass now, and actually evil.
Way behind, oh, and they fell for one of their tricks(their 3rd member got "fired", then in the subways, said it was a fake and unsurprisingly, they fell for it).
Anyone else going to try a nuzlocke challenge?

I like Pokemon, but it feels really, really slow paced to me recently.
I need an official Pokemon game that's feels like a regular game, but faster.. like an RTS or something.

If they came out with an RTS pokemon game that would be badass.
I would totally buy it.

The problem with pokemon is the the games are marketed towards children, so most of the games have to have simple gameplay despite the fact that a huge part of the fanbase is teen/adult.
Pokemon would be so much more badass if Nintendo just shifted their marketing strategy to more serious (for lack of a better word) gamers.
If anyone remembers Type Wild that game was fun as hell and made pretty well but you can tell that it was fan-made by how the game plays.
