It makes assorted sounds from the movie I assume when you pull down on one of it's fin thingies.

I seem to remember having one of these a long time ago. I think the mouth opens/can be opened as well.

Yeah, it can. Though mine's broken and doesn't open unless I manually open it. In fact the mouth is more closed then it should be. I was pretty rough with my toys...

Also the wings flap when you pull on one of it's legs.

The first Pokémon you come across, not catch.

Fail to catch the first Pokémon you encounter and you can't catch another one in that area, period.

You can exempt this for the first route that you don't have any Pokéballs for like at the very beginning.

Hey, it's me again.

I took your collective advice, made some revisions to my team. Just want to double-check my plan here:
Leveled Feraligatr to 40, let him replace Scratch with Slash
Dropped Butterfree and Weepinbell from the team, at least for now
Working on getting a Fire Stone to evolve Growlithe
Grabbed an Eevee, planning to level him to 40 and evolve him to Espeon (seems to fill the type holes in my team the best).
Grabbed a Dratini, planning to level him to 40 as well and evolve to a Dragonair.

I'll also be going through all the TMs I have and thumbing through Bulbapedia this weekend to re-jigger all my other attacks (seriously, how did I never figure out the physical/special thing?). Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or anything I *really* should be doing different?

PS: Thanks for all this help. I'm amazed that I've been playing these games off and on for fourteen years, and am still finding out new things.

You can also make it so that it will be the first non-duplicate. I mean, some people don't want 5 rats, or 10 patrats.

Can I get an Idea what region the campaign will take place in originally? For backstory ofc.

Probably Kanto and Johto, unless the players want to go somewhere else. If you can make it sound alright, I'm not against you Trainers from regions other than where we're playing.

You'll be hard pressed for a ROM, considering FP's stance against warez.

Anyway a very quick google search for "emerald randomizer" turned up http://artemis251.fobby.net/downloads/emerald/

You still require a ROM but it seems to be what you want.

I decided to try out pokemon world online. and then i realized as i was playing it, takes like 2000 xp to lvl my squirtle up one level

and its lvl 5

I got one and it evolved into a Swellow. I used it against a Solosis where it consequently died. Shortest Pokemon lifespan I've ever witnessed in my Nuzlocke Roulette run.

Well lets just think of Pokémon as assigned numbers, Bulbasaur is 001, Mew is 151, Celebi is 251 etc.

The roulette will mix those Pokémon up and change what number they are assigned to. So 001 002 and 003 could be Zubat Shroomish and Magikarp. Evolutions are untouched, everything else is untouched except for those numbers.

That is, at least how I percieve it. I haven't tried this out.

Its when all wild Pokemon are randomized; from Bulbasaur to Genesect. With the added fun of Nuzlocke rules.

Well I really shouldn't have to be explaining this, I've linked the website in my post five posts above yours but since I'm such a nice person I'll explain it.

It is a semi-hack and you do not need codes for it. All you will need is Java installed.

You will need to download this zip file and extract the contents to it's own folder. Then you execute the EmeraldRandomizer.jar file and load the emerald ROM in the open dialog. Everything else should be extremely straight forward from there.

It comes with a readme zipped inside but have a quick link for a peek.
