Goddamn I tried the free weekend and, the FOV is terrible, and everytime I pass a corner I need to pray to Allah there isnt a dude there.

Shoot them before they shoot you, check all corners and try not to make too much noise.

haven't noticed much sound whoring in this game period, by making too much noise means stay off the radar, i agree
Try learning the maps in spec ops, if you find a good place to hide in spec ops chaces are its a camping position in multiplayer
and yes most definitely check your corners and don't racetrack around the map, chances are the spawn system will put the enemies right behind you.

Starting to hate free weekend now. Just because it's free doesnt mean it gives you the chance to hack and use aimbots.

EXACTLY! I hate how none of the cods after cod4 had that sort of "conquer this spot" element. That was probably the best part of cod IMO.
Nowadays, you spawn almost on top of other guys shooting at your team or you spawn far away from both teams, and most of the times ends with you getting killed by a couple of stray enemies who decided to go around. Its like a fucking mess compared to cod4. Even mw2 had them better.
I couldn't agree with you more. CoD4's Crossfire had the middle of the street that if you tried to cross it without laying smoke, you would most likely die of sniper fire, so it was basically the house with the balconies against the house with the shop. You would have to flank through the alleys and houses to get to the other side of the map and those had some fucked up choke points.
Vacant was full of close quarters combat and would also end the same way as Crossfire's "sniper wars" having people from the outside shooting at those inside. C4 + grenades = kills everywhere really.
Strike again had this same side-to-side fight with the car garage in the middle.
Overgrown was one side of the empty river to the other or barn vs people near the stone bridge, and clearing houses from machine gunners.
Downpour was amazing because people seemed to see pretty bad and I always ended up with 40 or 50 kills and less than 10 deaths, it was extremely easy.
Mw2 had some fucked up maps at first, but they ended up being all different from each other, much like cod4. And you could use stuff with their intended purposes.
Mw3's are just awful. Only a few are ok, everything else is like being in a maze without walls but still being a maze, where people appear out of fucking nowhere shooting at you no matter where you go and try to save yourself. You think "Argh got low health, lets run through here to heal" and then an enemy could even spawn there or appear out of fucking nowhere as said, in a very awful and common coincidence.
The other thing that makes the game rather... Bad, compared to other games or other cods, is that it looks uglier than BO, MW2 and MW1. The maps just look so... Dirty... Like, they didn't intend it to be dirty like BO's maps, but they are dirty, because of the engine. Grainy maybe... Its just grayer compared to MW2 which was colorfull as all hell.
And the weapons, only a few were actually fun to use.
Shotguns are a complete drag to use until you get them to high level, or at least they used to be.
Pistols aren't really needed.
Machine Pistols are FMG9 and nothing else, but if we go by that logic, FMG9 above everything else...
Many assault rifles seem like the exact same.
Only some submachine guns are of exceptional use, like the MP7 and the PP-19. Everything else is dull and WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THEY GIVE ME COD4'S MP5?!
Snipers have a nice selection but I feel the AS50 is a Barret with half the bullets. Overall, feel nice to use even.
Can't say anything about LMG's because I never use them. They feel slow and bulky, and I don't like slow and bulky.
If I think about it, I bought it for 30€ because I got CoD4 aswell, so 30€ for each of them, I can have fun with mw3 and have a blast with mw1, and they are all on Steam, so no hauling boxes

Random props? Reminds me of Carbon, where there are increadibly tight stairs and houses that look like buttholes and towers everywhere blocking the view for the people on the ground floor.

Weapon switch also works I think, and it isn't that hard to do. Used to do it all the time in cod4.

Wow, it was 14 motherfucking gigs so I just finished it downloading it last night, and played it for 30 minutes this morning before I had to go. Not everyone has fibre-optic, and 14 gigs is absurd for a trial of an arcade FPS. All of Skyrim is 9GB, all of Mirror's Edge is 7GB, all of BF3 is 15GB. That was a monstrous fucking download.
Do you think they'll offer another free weekend? If so, I'll keep my local files so I don't have to go through this bullshit again.
Also, what they said about the maps a few posts up.
I MIGHT get it if it goes on sale for like $10.

You'll have to wait for a super sale, because I believe CoD1 is still 20€ or something.
I do agree the size of the game is extremely big. I get it for BF3 which has huge maps and some motherfucking NICE graphics and Skyrim has a HUGE ass world, but this one should be maybe 1 or 2 gb more than MW2.

Yeah, it was annoying how in MW3 you couldn't really secure a point properly. Search and Destroy was a mess. I had to constantly check around corners and be on the move because you couldn't really say for sure a position was clear. In CoD4 most bomb positions could be cleared if you knew the map and how many people were left but you could also set up a solid defense.
My loadout for MW3 was:
MP5 + Rapid Fire + Range Proficiency
USP
Flash + Frag
Sleight of Hand
Quickdraw
Stalker

That seems pretty fun, but you never know, it could completely fail. Also, how would you sprint? Can you click the analog sticks on the Vita? Because I know you couldn't on the PSP. I haven't researched much on the vita.

I can handle that video, because you're talking, and playing the game. You aren't flying around at four times the speed of light while overbearing effects pop in and out of the screen every few seconds. All the while, my ears are bleeding because of some ten year old rap track that is blasting out of my headphones.

and I'm happy. Call me boring, but I can enjoy a gameplay commentary more than a music video - it doesn't even have to be technical to the game, just any old guy playing and rambling about anything that comes to mind. But when done correctly, with at least some boundaries, a montage can work well. Perhaps they just remind me too much of those who view VoIP as a method to share their music collection with a server full of players.

Yeah, for some reason I'm getting lag with only 4GB of RAM (I have a G15 so I can check my system usage on the fly on the LED screen) so I might just grab another 2-4 GB and call it a day. I doubt it's my quad core processor @ 3.2Ghz or my 560ti...

Played some zombies first time in forever. I wish Black Ops zombie maps were free or had an SDK. Stuck with WaW and the normal zombie maps for Black Ops.
I then quit after I died. No relation.

I mean, I've currently got to pay to get my truck outta the shop. But maybe like $400 being the lowest(cheap as hell, I know), and like $600 being the highest. Just would like an idea, and yeah, I'd like to play BF3 on it as some point, but it doesn't have to be perfect.
