I just went 30 jumps through 0.0 in a "ratting" Moa. I was running sites for a while and eventually got killed when I was scrammed and webbed by rats. Luckily the whole adventure paid off because I made just as much money as the ship cost.

Thermal radiation does play a role in cooling a ship's hull, but for the most part the effect is miniscule at best because heat is constantly being added to it.

Gang links on a sleipnir, the most you could fit on a sleip is one since it can fit only 7 guns.

Claymore is made for that.

Hey guys, I just started out on a trial account and I'm doing the starting combat story missions. However I'm finding that my starting weapons: 2x 75mm gatling rails are starting to become too weak for the missions I'm undertaking. So I'm wondering if anyone has got any tips to what I should buy in the start to boost my combat capabilities?

Could anyone post or PM me a good level 4 solo missioning fit? With all the work in uni at the moment I can't do a lot of PvP roams with my corp so I can only really do a few missions at a time. Sorry added it in the original post now, I fly mainly Minmatar. Current missioning ship is a Maelstrom, so I can fly Battleships mainly. Would prefer if the fit was for the Maelstrom as I don't really have the ISK to expand to another ship atm :/

That's the fit I built. Works with my skillset, and so far I'm loving it. Shrugged off one 0.4 belt rat without even trying, I'm currently flying to -0.2 to try some rats there. Not sure where I'll go after that, I'd love to test it against some sleepers but I don't feel like scanning a WH down at the moment. Refitting the one on Tranq will run me about 43 million or so, from what I can see it'd be a worthy investment for running L4s.



Maybe I just have shit shield tanking skills. Very likely. But for the time being, that ship has 70,000 EHP in-game, whereas the shield tank I'm currently using only has 51,000 EHP, and then only for a couple minutes till the cap drains.
