Today playing tf2 I noticed I'm getting sudden FPs drops which has never happened to me on my new PC.
I'm doing a virus scan at the moment, any suggestions that could help? there must be something causing it because it started suddenly today.

TF2 is pretty un-optimized, so don't be surprised when it happens. Verify the game files and check if that helps. If not, you could always reinstall it.
