Oh, neat! That seems very friendly for a system that must involve a lot of annoying bureaucracy.

or maybe i'm not a lawyer and i have no idea what the hell i'm talking about
either way, thanks for the answer!

    Bang makes a good point

take the Baleful beacon. It was being tested ages ago, and yet here it is not being added. Or Junkyard Justice, probably the poster child for Valve saying it's getting in and then it not being added.

    Edited:

it's really not annoying bureaucracy. There's only a couple of guys that monitor the workshop, so they comment when they can, but it really seems like they try to test everything even remotely passable in game, to keep in case they feel the need to add an item with that theme.

I think the biggest problem is that they have two games in beta right now, so they don;t have a lot of man power. Remember how back when Portal 2 was being made there was nothing but promos? It's like that, but twice as bad because they're also working on the mtp and saxxy updates. Not much room for productivity or quality control.

We really don't get to know anything when it comes to workshop contributions.
    Which is a damn shame...

I wish they would post more on items - even if just to explain why they wouldn't add them. (Obviously ignoring things that aren't even items)

you guys know, I'm waiting until after the next major update before I work on shipping out a community schema 2

I got some good ideas for it, and now, unlike last time, I have a way to test it. And also I know Valve is open to styles, so I can be a little more leniant on what I add.

Which is a little ridiculous. It has been almost five months since Christmas with nothing. This is the first new year since the game went F2P, and we're getting LESS content from a game that makes nothing but infinite money for Valve.

Steam was unofficially announced as coming to Linux. 2012 is the year of Linux. It's actually happening. I'm still tripping balls about that.

There is SO MUCH that could come in the next update. It's mind-boggling.

    You finally get it.
    There are no heroes.
    TF2 is doomed.
You will never have another Update.
You will never have another promo.

I panicked and went to the blog.

    J-just a n-n-nightmare...

I quickly checked tf2 for that, almost freaked out
I don't get why everyone is panicking. There are a lot worse looking hats IN-GAME.

Because Gabe's the hero Steam deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

Meat the pyro teased in the recent portal video.

Computer screen at the bottom right at 1:13, there's something strange that shows up before and after pyro is visible firing his flamethrower into the air exactly like in the picture.

My best guess is a close up shot of a security camera as something explodes in the background.

Take all the weekly updates together and you have enough content for one of those crappy major updates (119, Hatless Update, etc)

It's just the clip where they got the sneak peek image from that "2012 blog post", and a closeup of the flamethrower. At least it's what I see

I don't remember the flamethrower having something that huge behind it (Notice a "block" shaking on the left as the Pyro moves the flamethrower). It could be a new flamethrower in the same fashion as the Quick Fix, but I'm not sure

kind of reminds me of that one giant flamethrower Ronin made in that set.

For some reason it's also not on his workshop anymore.
