Also, obsessed with my anime movies again right now. Listening to the track "It's Time to Stop Living in the Past, Isn't It?" from Pom Poko. Since the scene it accompanies is the saddest shit ever and it always brings me back there.

Never liked it as much as Gloss Drop. Atlas and Tonto are class tracks though. Futura is the best thing they've written, in my opinion.

Wretch and the QOTSA/Kyuss split for Kyuss and everything by Midori. Seriously you could start anywhere with them. Most people would tell you to start with their fourth album but I think it's really not much different from the others.

I'm listening to it again now, they aren't quite as far apart as I'd been thinking. I think what makes Gloss Drop better for me is the flow, and there is an atmosphere beyond them playing the instruments and looping and what have you. That, and tracks like Leyendecker I absolutely cannot enjoy for whatever reason.
