Powershell and Command Prompt?
Goddamn I keep being swayed back and forth between the Thinktab 2 and the Surface.
Actually considering the RT now, because of the smaller price
479 with touch is still pretty expensive though :/
If I spend the $40 for the upgrade to Windows 8 pro, is there a way I can get my install to format the drive? Or remove all my programs and whatnot?
I'm guessing you'll have to insert your current Win7 key into the site, and it gives you a windows 8 key, along with an ISO. But maybe it's like an upgrade only key or something.
Heads up: Skype for Windows 8 is now available in the store, don't have a HTTP link but it's on the front page
This might be late, but...
How to make
Here is the download. It contains OblyTile v0.8, all needed Microsoft Office metro (modern) .png's, and instructions how to do it as well as the default system directories to save you a bit of time. :)
Aww, I can't drag-and-drop stuff into metro apps.
yeah i get that
So, does the RP only get limited access to the store, or can I actually get Skype on friday?
so best buy has their designed for win8 computers for demo.
god damn the lenovo yoga is really cool as fuck and its a great deal for only $1000 considering you get an i5 and 128gb ssd all in a nice thin package, the touch screen is top notch and the whole OS is fluid as fuck.
also the win 8 version of IE is good, yes IE is good now. pinch and zoom is very fluid, even on the desktop version.
oh and the wrist wrest material feels really good to the touch, its like a way more durable felt material found on tablet covers
Holy shit, Windows 8 + Classic Shell is a breeze.
It runs MUCH faster now.
So I'm having problems and I've come to the conclusion that I have Windows 8 installed, and running currently... problem is is that it apparently NEEDS my other HDD because Windows 8 is activate on that. I can't boot into to windows on my now primary without my secondary. I would like to format my secondary, but I can't. Help?
I'm not doing anything that requires a fresh install... I've reinstalled Win8 too many times to do it again... it has gotten boring. So if I could keep my current OS exactly how it is and wipe everything off my secondary that would be perfect.
About the skype. I was contacted by this person right after I logged in. Never had this person in my contacts either.
I didn't know Ben was a female name.
I've hear that MS is gonna block all those third party start menu programs, is this true of false?
Skype app works awesomely
Multi-tasking is really smooth and fluid and I love it.
Only qualm with windows 8 is that to go back to Windows 7 I have to restart it.
