The upgraded prime has the 1080p display.
    Actually it's 1920x1200, Android tablets are 16:10.

1024x600 here. It was a cheap tablet, though.
Android is completely resolution and aspect ratio independent, they even make 4:3 tablets.

    Fuuuuuuuuuck

Got a call from the repair shop today. Something's wrong, laptop may be unrepairable. I'll have to talk to him in-person Monday, see what the deal is.

And also start saving up for a new one. Which I was going to do anyways (it's a C2D and a 9600 - an upgrade was needed sometime soon). Need to decide if I want another middle-class one (what's the current equivalent to an M50?), or if I want to upgrade to the top-tier.

But it pisses me off how many 1366x768 laptops there are. That's a freaking small resolution and I hope it goes and dies in a fire on laptops over 11".
Don't hate on the 1366x768. It's good enough for browsing and normal computer use.

    From a Slashdot article summary:

"In tests with top-selling 16GB smartphones, NAND flash memory slowed mobile app performance from two to three times with one exception, Kingston's embedded memory card; that card slowed app performance 20X."

    Nice Kingston, nice.

    I do like it.

A friend dropped off a 15.6" Vaio for me to install Windows on and for the size I thought the resolution was perfect. Don't have to sit close to it to see everything.

I see the 15 inch macbooks and for the resolution they pack, everything on the screen is so fucking small, I can't imagine how anyone can use that.

I like 1366x768 since it lets me turn up the settings on games I play on my laptop so they look nice and pretty while having a good frame rate.

If I had only my one 1336x768 monitor, I'd still be a happy man. My 1920x1080 is great too, but I could live without a dual monitor setup.

    Don't think so.

All the address info was where I had to cut the box to open it so I can't go an check.

Also the package did display my name as "Pascall's Boy-Toy"... I wonder what the UPS people thought when they saw that.

I put my SSD in my laptop. I plan on getting another one since I can fit two in there if I buy another hard drive bracket from Asus.

According to dxtory, my boot drive's write speed is 28mb/s.

Should I invest in an SSD?

    No.

I wouldn't record videos to an SSD anyway. They have much shorter lifespans than hard drives.

Oh, boot drive. You just used Dxtory to tell you the read-write.

I need to stop going here after 11.
