because the midnight crew was originally from problem sleuth (well, originally from some ps fan's rp game or some shit idk but still), and were easily kind of assimilated into the role of dersite agents. Having PS and gang be prospitian agents makes sense.

As far as speculations for Homestuck go, this isn't even close to being out of left field.

Shit like that happens every day, in millions of different permutations in a wide variety of social situations. If you browse the reactions to it, how often do you see people saying, “omg jane is me…”?

Jane fucked up. She was put on the spot and totally choked. Then she kept digging herself deeper and deeper in the hole. She did this because she’s a teen. Even some people who are older than teens fuck up like this. Being a young human is often a mercilessly awkward proposition.

yeah he went off on another rant about how we read it as we do painstakingly slow but when its done people will be reading it at a normal pace and wont have time to think about "when will they introduce UU"

Here's a thing that I don't think has been brought up in the thread:
Everyone's chumhandle has initials based on the nitrogenous bases of DNA, correct?
UU comes from uracil, which replaces thymine when RNA is translated or something along those lines.
However- before the letter U got involved, the chumhandles covered every possible combination of the 4 letters.

Now there are 6 (8?) more abbreviations possible:
AU
UA
GU
UG
CU
UC
(TU and UT are both also viable, but not likely since U replaces T)
I'm probably forgetting something here but you get what I mean.

Might this mean that there will be MORE CHARACTERS???

UU's mentioned a brother, and we know of not-vriska from Jake's dream, so that's at least 2 more chumhandles that could follow this pattern.
