What has happened to me? Only thing I know is that I am an Hammerdwarf.
What has happened to me? Only thing I know is that I am an Hammerdwarf.
Okay booting up the Succession game now, let's get this started
Bollocks. I just broke my miner's arms while trying to dig a pit again. I can never find a safe way to do it.
In Fort FP, I used to be an animal caretaker, raising war dogs and cool stuff, but now I'm a planter. I have nothing wrong with it, but I was wondering if I've done anything noteworthy so far![]()
Go get 'em!
You're actually a marksdwarf - you're alive and you have killed a zombie raven and a zombie goblin. jakeabbott96 is your husband, and Neaelstrom is your oldest daugther, the younger one being unnamed,
Edited:
Not really. Your son, DeathDoom died from thirst, you evil evil father.
Edited:
Kybalt got a strange mood today, nothing special
Thing is though, her right arm is broken and now she doesn't want to go back to the hospital.
Have I gotten my daily supply of large gems yet? I'm interested in how much of a stupid noble I'm being.
No, you haven't. I'm actually plotting to have you replaced with a gremlin we bought, hoping his demands are less annoying.
Aw. come on. It's for the good of the fort, you know all those gems are worth it.
Mind posting my thoughts and preferences? Also anyone I'm related to?
Just got 47 useless dwarves in one migrant wave. Also, the Elven caravan arrived and I couldn't help but laugh as every one of my 71 dwarevs ran and swarmed the thing and just ripped off all the cloth and any other materials they brought and put them in our stockpiles...what the hell haha
what artifact did i make and how many kills have i gotten?
I was looking through this Challenges page and saw the Prison challenge and thought it'd be a fun one to try. Anyone have a good idea what to name my seven original dwarves so I know which ones to imprison and which to keep as guards?
Did toady increase the amount of snatchers and thieves? I'm getting one after another.
They stabbed my cats.
And the keas, oh god the keas
You don't have any relatives, but you do have a pet buck rabbit named "Kivish Ngalakfeb"
Edited:
No kills, surprisingly, and your artifact was a microcline grate. It's nothing terribly special.
Edited:
I went through and checked who had the most kills, and it turns out raccoon2112 does.

I have a few problems about Dwarf Fortress that makes me sort of hindered later in the game, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.
First of all, most of my forts en up having next to no well-equipped military, as I dont undertand shit about the fucking military screen, and most of my sites have non-weapon-grade metals. Also, I don't really know what armor pieces i should make, if I have metals.
Also, another case about wearable items... I have no idea how to make a clothes-industry, since I don't know what clothes i should make, out of what, and how...
Could anyone give me some pointers to what to do?
This helped me a lot with Military

Thanks, but I have a question, why do my miners get so little stone when they mine? I used to have an abundancy of stones, but now I sometimes run out, if I am building loads of things
He nerfed the drop rate on stone. It used to be based on miner skill, so a Grandmaster would always get a drop but a novice would hardly ever, but now it's a set chance that a stone will drop. Awesome and annoying at the same time.
Why won't my dwarves plant my wild strawberry seeds on my farm plot? They can reach it, it's aboveground, I have seeds, etc. But nobody is planting.
Also, is there any way to stop this "Urist McDwarf cancels plant seeds" spam? All they do is pick up the barrel and bring it to the seed so nobody else can use it

Erm, i viewed buildings on my fort, and it says I have a masterwork "Upright (Adamantite Shortsword)", at Z level 139... What is this, and should i just go mine down to it? Would that be a fun thing to do?
Occasionally an embark site will have things in the caves beneath the fort, big structures and that. It's pretty much free shit so grab whatever and load it off to a caravan. Might just be the sword though, still worth a heap.
If you're early on and can get down there, the already made fort works as a good starting point for your fort to save you carving it out. Makes it more difficult getting down there but every building is worth a hell of a lot more, including bedrooms and dining rooms, even if they're just a bed.
If you have a dwarf pull the sword from the stone, you can declare him be the rightful king of the Dwarvendom!
Aren't the masterwork adamantine swords triggers to clown spawns
Yes. The sword is defended by zombies so be sure you have some military to deal with them, but the reward is worth it. A masterwork adamantine sword is the best weapon in the game.
Next to an artifact adamantine sword

For fuck's sake, every season for the past year I've gotten migrant waves of 40+
That's what happens when you export things to the Mountainhome, they get word of great wealth and come streaming in. Set your pop cap about 110 and don't export too much in the one caravan.
Does anybody got a nice config for some kind of unusual world?
My total exported wealth is 110.. A hill titan just arrived. "The Hill Titan Ingul Idoralen has come! A great feathered fly. It has a pair of spindly antennae and it moves about carelessly. Its brass feathers are fluffed-out. Beware its webs!"
After activating 30 completely untrained marksdwarves to go after it, it started spraying webs in a cone fashion like fire, killing six. About 20 of them were chasing a kea around (even though I designated a kill order for all three squads lol) and showering the air with bolts as the poor bird is flying around with broken bones, meanwhile they're running into the titan and eventually they managed to kill him. And I thought I was fucked![]()
The amount of wealth you generate also contributes greatly, things like smoothing walls and engraving them increases fortress wealth same with artifacts.
Yeah, if you go to a demonic fortress and have a dwarf pull it out of a rock, I think the glowy floor goes away and releases demons via a staircase.
A year and a half.
More if you wall yourself in when the sieges come.
So a fisherdwarf went outside, a cloud of dust came by.
Edit: She's still working, what the christ.
Interesting river shape.
I'd go for as long as you want to, considering it's possible to wall yourself in totally and live as a 7 dwarf + kids forever.
So three migrants came to Fort FP today. There was something really odd about one of them:
Okay, so it's an injured dwarf. That's odd.
Wait hold o-
What an injured thoa-
Come on, seriously?
WHAT DID YOU DOOOO
I don't know how, but this dwarf managed to injure her ENTIRE BODY
ALL OF IT
Name her Jackie Chan![]()
Whatever that dust did, it's so contagious that it even spreads across the internet.
Maybe it was a zombie and got necromanced back to life? Lul that would be awesome. You should read up on her history / kills / etc.
She has no kills surprisingly, and I actually don't know how to read up on her history![]()
