Is it at all possible to move caged animals to the depot to trade them? I just uncaged 10 angry badgers deep in the bowels of my fortress...
So one of my dwarves fell into a fey mood and made a shale quern, nothing special, it's just entirely made out of shale.
Later on, a different dwarf falls into a fey mood, and makes a lignite crown with the image of the shale quern on it, and now
he'sshe's started to engrave his crown EVERYWHERE. Just now he'sshe's engraved a picture of my militia commander being refused my my society and crying his eyes out.
I have a feeling
he'sshe's not very happy somehow.
Oh shit, now one of the miners wrecked one of
hisher materwork engravings. Time to get a sheriff and jail up in here before this gets out of control.
HE'SSHE'S GOT 1158 HAPPINESS WHY IS HESHE SO HAPPY
i have like 20 children with 1000+ happiness because all they do is drink sleep and party at my gold statues under my waterfall mist
Any tips on catching a vampire in Fortress mode?
Every time a Dwarf goes to sleep, give him or her a nickname. Let a season or two pass, and see which Dwarf still doesn't have a nickname. Purge with magma.
put a fortress born child in a room and just rotate out dwarves until one of them sucks it dry
And he runs right into my military, which just finished slaughtering a siege.
Also, I threw all of my vampires into a military unit. Sure they like to drink other military dwarves, but that just makes them stronger.
I am getting seriously fed up here.
I'm trying to make my Legendary fighter into a vampire, so I kill a vamp and lick up all its tasty blood from my clothes/weapons/etc. But nothing happens. Then I hear you have to drink it from the vamp's body itself, so I drag myself all the way across the damn continent to a village and encounter another vampire. I fight him to a standstill, bite that fucker in the neck and DRINK HIS BLOOD STRAIGHT FROM THE LIVING TAP.
And I'm still not a vampire. WHAT IS THIS.
Jesus migrant waves got bigger, I was able to fill out two new squads and then some with this latest one. Haven't had a vampire yet but I would bet anything there's one in this pack.
Suddenly, magma out of nowhere
And now both my miners are in hospital :(
Oh, welp, they're infected now. Time to make some coffins because I don't have soap.
You know that vampire that's been stuck in my jail for years now?
He just got elected mayor.
He's bossing my dwarves around with mandates and export prohibitions from within his cage
An axedwarf's baby armor got a punctured lung and a broken leg after the axedwarf fought a titan, but it's not being taken to the hospital. I guess being carried means no hospital.
It is somehow already my 3rd year and I am trying to get through a 3-level aquifer. 60 goddamn immigrants turned up though due to 3 artifacts, and my fort is still just a little hole in the side of the hill.
I'm fine with aquifers, or even 2-level aquifers aren't really much of a bother but a 3-level is frustrating. I REALLY hope there isn't a 4th level or I'm abandoning.
The worst part is that I'm sure there was meant to me a volcano at my embark but instead there's just wet sand.
But no I had the same problem, killed a vampire, drank blood from clothes, picked up a good 30 or so units of it, drank those, nothing. I'm thinking it might be a random chance of the vampire itself being able to infect you, rather than a random chance every time you drink vampire blood, but I'm not sure.
Question, whats the easiest way to find your vampire? I've looked at kill records, and some of my dwarves have 30+ dwarves from the same location, and this other one has 90+. To be honest, I don't care if I find them, but I'm trying to create a military out of them, so I'm drafting anyone with dwarf kills.
Also, would starting a new Fortress/Adventure Mode while you have a running fortress will automatically abandon it?
You can't start a new fort/adventure character if you already have one running in that world.
First bugfix of upcoming 34.03.
[Dwarf Mode -- Embark/Setup] Specific Embark Map Crash (Toady One) - resolved.
Pretty small, but it's a start.
One miner passed away from infection, the other survived his infection and waited a year before I got a caravan in. Luckily they had cloth, and he's been patched up.
Still the loss of Minor is the Legendary Miner is a huge loss, and it's my first death :(
So in adventure mode I killed a cougar by ripping it's throat open with my teeth.
I'm still new to this
is it possible to transmit vampire in fortress mode?
Hah, for the last 10 minutes, my squad of legendary hammerdwarves/Elite Marksdwarves have been taking turns bashing a poor goblin on its head, only every single attack is deflected by his helmet. It might have something to do with the dwarves using iron crossbows for bashing. I have 113 pages of combat record on this :)
The poor gobling must feel like his head is part of a drumset...
I sent in my other legendary hammerdwarf with his steel warhammer. He jammed the goblins skull through his outer brain and his inner brain :)
I'm starting a fort in the new version... Is it normal for the magma sea to be as shallow as 37 depth? Usually I find it around like, 100 or so
Some of the amusing mists and rains people have been getting
If you kill the necromancer, will the zombies all die as well?
Is it just me or does world gen take MUCH more time now? By the time it reaches year 150 or so my computer is already on its knees.
Looking forward to the Necro towers with thousands of years worth of corpses inside
Gang raped by geese.
