This was just uploaded to Roger's channel. I love these pre-1970 stuff.

inside out is bloody brilliant. i'd love for the rest of the band to write their own versions.
Oh, most definitely. It is still a great album, but The Division Bell strikes a chord with me for some reason.
Bastard.
if they don't want to reunite... then that's so be it. It's not like it was recent since they last worked together happily.
getting towards 40 years, yeah?
Have you guys listened to "Embryo"? It's seriously one of the best pieces performed live pre-Meddle and post-Ummagumma. It actually formed part of the whalesong part of Echoes, and it also led on to the formation of Breathe, Raving and Drooling, and ACYL.
I have a version you can listen to here: http://www.1337upload.net/files/005_Track_5.mp3
That was great.
And I didn't even know it existed.
A serious thanks for the heads up here.
Lol, the article makes nooo mention of Rick Wright. Disgraceful.
Countdown to immersion DSOTM is a real treat, was an awesome variation on one of my favorite Floyd Albums.
Been a long time since I posted here, but I just bought Atom Heart Mother.
The suite is turning out to be one of my fucking favorites...
Atom Heart Mother is one of those things that nobody takes seriously enough, I personally love it as a piece.
Agreed. Atom Heart Mother is amazing.
If I go insane, will you still let me join in with the games?
no roger no
I can't wait for this July.
I know its just Roger, but I get to see the Wall at Philly.
Hopefully I get blazed in the process.
Picked up The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking at a flea market. Pretty good. Mom liked it more than I.
The censor bar on the buttocks was the subject of many jokes the ride home from Montgomery.
I can see that DrSalvador has made great progress in his WIP OP![]()
So, what are your favourite songs?
All.
Except for Wall. :)
(Don't let Salvador hear that.)
I like pretty much every song, though some I listen to more than others. Interstellar Overdrive and Astronomy Domine probably take the top spots on that.
Time, Comfortably Numb and Fat Old Sun
Gilmour's first album is pretty swell imo.
I've never had the chance to listen to any solo albums, I should really make a note of picking them up when I head out today.
Worth it. Really worth getting their solo records.
In ways, I'd rather play Gilmour's last and Waters' solo records than anything post Animals.
I'll probably pick them up, I just gotta get new strings for my guitar. There's a Pink Floyd tribute band playing near me sometime, might go there.
I realy like: "not now john" from the final cut.
how can you like The Final Cut/AMLOR and not The Wall?
I still haven't listened to The Final Cut....
I'm a Wall fan.
But I know its not a true Pink Floyd album.
My favorite however has to be Wish You Were Here.
Think of it like a dud version of The Wall.
it's hardly a dud version, sure it has very similar themes, but it's very good if you don't listen to it as a Wall sequel
Rather than comparing Ponk Flid to Pink Floyd, let's look at what's out there yeah?
The Wall has been propped up as this massive, wonderful, extravagent masterpiece of a concept album. To me it's a pop record with bits of thematics.
Now, when I look at Genesis and The Who. Whom both are godfathers of concept albums, see none of the glory.
Lamb Lies down on Broadway, is infinitely my choice over The Wall. I'm sorry, but just like Duke, I get over pop records in a blink just because I've overheard it.
I'll still see the movie though because IT is amazing.
This hasn't been posted yet, has it?
First time Atom Heart Mother was ever played live:
Last time Atom Heart Mother was ever played live:
If I ever start a Pink Floyd tribute band, I'm using this name. Thanks.
wait, do you honestly compare other concept records to The Wall? because i don't see how you can do that, frankly.
I don't see a problem. Those are fair comparisons.
