Look for the song "Soundscape", it's a 20 minute ambient piece Floyd used to play on the PA before each show on their PULSE tour, I think it's from The Big Spliff.

damn soothing. I'm up to the "field recordings" bit with birds and an engine..

    Edited:

yep at 10:30 or so, it's very reminiscent of cluster one.

    This is really nice.

I'm really digging the Experience live version of DSOTM, if i had to be honest it's actually better than the album version, as the solos are far longer and nicer.

    No, I don't hate you.
I'm just saying that if someone who is interested in Pink Floyd saw this thread and wanted to get some info, the OP wouldn't really help.

Ugh. Someone uploaded the Movie versions of all the songs to youtube.

Downside: He's made them two semitones too high, So the megaphone lyrics in Waiting For The Worms sound ludicrous, as does the "wall-scream" sound.

Welp. Listening to The Final Cut again. I've been having a tough time decided on what I really want to listen to, so I decided on the Floyd and then I thought "Why the hell not?" So here I am.

I would have thought Gilmour would be a prolific album releaser. Those sessions with Orb look as though Gilmour can string out great pieces with ease on his lunch break.

It's such a shame that he's obsessed with the "Pink Floyd" legacy and all this malarkey.

That feeling you get that the current Wall tour might be because Roger knows he's old and will probably die in less than 10 years.

I'm actually slightly worried that he might suddenly reveal at the end of the tour he's dying of cancer or something.

I disagree, I didn't find it as enticing as I thought it would be.

I should probably re-listen to it, though.

Ummagumma is a pretty drab record imo. It's as though there was no care that they were actually decently popular, so chuck any old recording in there.

But on the other hand, as an experimental record it is nice.
