Like 10 people to properly man the ship, so two teams in 2 boats. you start apart from each other and have to navigate and find one another. then duke it out in open waters.

JSDF mod comes with some kind of Japanese destroyer and the SFP mod has a Visby class corvette.

its dusk and ggd is defending a ship with an AI hostage while ifap has to board the ship with a raft and eliminate the GGD, plant a bomb and rescue the hostage and then it switches to where ifap is defending blah blah

Realistic naval combat is really, really boring. Just look up the Falklands War- about the sum of it is waiting until you see a little blip on your radar ten miles away, then fragging said blip with an Exocet.

With the advent of counter-measures hopefully naval warfare will get alot more Fun.

Arma isn't realistic in that manner.

That aside, Arma will probably have ships. How you entire/exit them I don't know thow, can only really hope for onboard walking about I guess. It is after all going to be a new game, they could at least put some effort into it.

Found out about a program that takes stuff built from minecraft and exports them into a 3D .stl file for use with 3D printers. Decided to try it out with BSG that me and TaiwanesePrick made.

In game.


After exporting from Mineways to Rhinoceros.


Now I need to learn how to edit surfaces and fix this model up, as there is some geometry inside that needs to be removed for a good 3D print. Usually I would edit a solid part, which is much easier to edit and manipulate, but this Mineways program only exports in .stl and .obj formats that make it out of surfaces. If I were to choose a face of block and delete it, the whole model would look hollow where it should be solid.

Anyways this is just going to be a fun side project of mine to work on, once it's finished I might see if TaiwanesePrick can have it 3D printed at my old high school.
