I went to the US Science Festival today! It was great, lots of awesome stuff there.


This is the new, New, NEW Future Soldier Program. Unlike the previous models, this actually looks not only practical but really, really cool. Looks like the Mk. 2 Re-enforced Combat Armor from Fallout.


A 3D printed Companion Cube i found at a 3D printer kiosk. [<3]


Me in Lockheed Martin’s F-16 simulator. Because i have flown planes in real life(albeit Cessna 182s and not F-16s) they let me play the Air-to-Air combat scenario instead of the Takeoff/Landing scenario everyone else gets to do. It was so fucking cool, i even killed a few bogeys.


Me using the Army’s new IR/NVG system that allows the user to simultaneously see thermal and night vision, all at the same time. Really fucking cool.


Last and definitely least, me with a derpy face(my dad is a terrible photographer, caught me just as i was about to say something) wearing a M1956 flak vest.

I got to see the magic fucking school bus, Bill Nye the god damned science guy, the Mythbusters, and whoever that one lady is that is Sheldon’s girlfriend on Big Bang Theory(she’s a real scientist IRL, she’s a Neuroscientist, which is fucking awesome).

I also saw 2 other people with Portal shirts and get complimented a bunch of times for mine, which was great. All in all, good day.
