Have some obscure amazing US metal
someone say japanese metal?
Holy fuck that was magic
Is French Death Metal acceptable? Or has it already been posted?
gojira is ok
grind from singapore
80's power thrash from Canada
Fairly unknown band, sadly.
Fuckin love the drums on this album
I was exploring my dusty attic when I found this NWOBHM pearl:
Just back from an ArnoCorps concert in Galway, bust my knuckles in a brawl outside a chipper, One of the bassists gave me one of his picks and it was brilliant, they really know how to through a proper live gig, crowd surfing and best pose competitions and all.
Morbid Saint's recently released bonus tracks in Thrashaholic compliation
This should of been the anthem to the Olympic games
and on that note, don't bother listening to manowar's latest album. It's beyond shite. Sterile production, mechanical performances, bad songwriting, the lot. Just don't.
-checks metal-archives (oh those are some bad reviews, but it can't be that BAD)
-listens to "The Lord of Steel" (Jesus Christ what's that static in the background, oh apparently that's the guitar or the bass or something but what the fuck)
Eh it's pretty boring and the production is bad, like seriously is that the bass or the guitar that sounds like fucken static?
nevermind, that was an understatement, as I typed that I was listening to "Hail, Kill and Die" and jesus christ I don't know what I just listened to. Listen to timmys advise everyone, now I got to wash that out of my head
Here have some Satan
You really have interesting choice of words to describe metal music
@ lil timmy
hnggggg the partisan turbine are so goooooood hngggg that immense breakdown aaaaa
I kind of like some of those Slam-Piggy bands, that don't take themselves too seriously. They just make silly faces and 2minute breakdowns.
For example, the stuff Big C used to do, which is silly faces and 2note breakdowns, is quite awesome imho.
Nothing but stupid and generic riffs, but well executed with certain twinkle in the eye.
Another example could be Lord Gore (I'm well aware of the fact that LG is not "slam", but neither is "the partisan turbine").
Tasteless, crude and honest blasting. No excuses.
TBH, almost every gore/pornogrind band (most expect exhumed, cattle decapitation and early carcass) fits the same category with slam/tasteful deathcore in my mindset. Senseless blasting, serious business.
Self-irony. In kind of same way as "horror" films by Peter Jackson. Almost like sick parody, but not obvious parody. Its a good joke that stops being joke the moment you admit its joke, if you know what I mean.
I could go on for DAYS
This has to be some of the best technical deathcore I've heard in a very long time.
The vocals are what made Morbid Saint one of my alltime fav bands
I mean, just listen to him. Especially on destruction system, those black metallish vocals... So fantastic.
This can be said about alot of bands, but I think these guys are the best thing in speed/thrash in the past 5 or so years.
The drumming style of the new fella is kinda also a letdown (except for the song Dying Day which I found it somewhat reminiscent to Reynolds' drumming style)
UGUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 8=============D~~~~~ FINALLY
I told my buddies that I'd try to help them spread their music when they managed to get a recording done.
They're young/amateur, but I was pretty surprised with how it turned out. I don't think it is too bad anyway.
Mathcore accepted around here?
I like mathcore, but I'm not sure many thread regulars would appreciate it
