I made a really comfortable room. Come here to think, or relax, or just because it's quiet.
I'd call it the "Religion Flamestorm/Discussion Shelter," but that's cool enough instead.
So I had my first encounter with a decaying Age. It was a desert cave world, I had set up an arcane bore to run while I ran around collecting crystals. There was some lag, but I figured it was the bore and the sand.
And then I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked, and another pillar of the wall slid down. At that point I realized what was happening and made a mad dash back to my linking book platform, making sure there was a safety gap in case I ever came back.
Damn shame, I liked that place
So I tried mystcraft and the first world I went to surprised the fuck out of me.
I tried to install mystcraft but everytime I generate a level it crashes.
Does mystcraft work with RedPower?
I found this forest overrun village while looking for big ass villages (sadly it was small) but looked cool
"Umm, yeah we got gardeners they're just taking a break"
coords in pic wasn't far from spawn.
Since everyone and their dog is talking about Mystcraft I may as well show my own experience. I'm rather fond of the first Age I encountered that I built my nexus on.
Skylands with eternal dusk. Not too fond of the checkerboard biomes but hey you live with what you get. I know once you start generating custom-tailored Ages you can get biomes like this:
Mystcraft should be inplented in vanilla minecraft.
guys we are playing hunger games
Sever IP: hamster1147.dyndns.org
minecraft.net down for anyone else?
Is there an original video/trailer for the hungergames mod?
what do you guys use to make the MC characters? I use MC SkinEdit, then PS CS5extended on my mac to add colors and stuff, but usually just add low noise from MCSE if I get lazy (usually) but what is you prefered method of making them?
Also, any moderately challenging redstone ideas to work on? I used 2 stacked sticky pistons to make a 2 block high wall to be a door, sliding from the side, or even if one on top of the other with a slightly modified repeater set you can make it from the ground raising up, but usually only with gravel to match stone homes or make a cool wall gate that goes up from the ground and even to be bridges, but I'm looking for any ideas that can be done with basic redstone knowledge and a couple extra hours during weekdays (work EMT's have a lot of free time you'd be surprised haha) but yeah let me know!
myst ages in minecraft
i always miss the cool stuff
is there anyplace where I can download MCpatcher mod profiles? instead of me downloading each and ever single mod page?
Each world should have a people, like Testificates in the Overworld, Pigmen in the Nether, Deep Ones in the Abyss, etc.
A cow jacked my minecart.
People still do cacti farms? That was all the rave back in 1.4 (when I started playing) and on because of fence material. Now there's just lava behind walls, occasionally.
gotta build fast
I've been trying to do a flatland survival, seeing what I could do with a flatland map in survival. In my first run I had managed to get a enough iron for 3 buckets (two for water for an infinite spring and one for lava for a cobblestone generator) Full Iron armour and a decant stash of tools by raiding villages, I even found a few saplings and enough obsidian for a nether portal. I was starting a more permanent base and managed to get a wheat farm, a tree farm going and a cobblestone generator going. I died by trying to manage slimes by leading them into a pit to take up the mob spawn before I could get enough string to make a bed.
My main problem was being swamped by slimes, which slowed down building works considerably. In the later game once I have set up, digging slime pits will be even more of a problem as I'll want to build a mob grinder to get some iron off zombies and bones, arrows and enchanted bows of skelies.
Do you guys know any servers that are similiar to this one (The defining features being a randomly generated city, a random spawn location and anarchy) With more people?
My associate and I are now working on a somewhat-elegant sky settlement. It originally started when we discussed the possibility of having a group of NPC villagers living up there, but I'm taking the project a little more seriously now.
We call it Zephyr Nine.
Here's my house, and the connecting tower to the sea.
The palace, built atop a thundercloud.
Still a work in progress. The little storm clouds around it 'rain' when you approach, due to the water inside.
It's very satisfying to push hostile mobs off the edge.
