Oh yeah, that's that server where an OP cheated diamonds to another player so he could beat me. It was because I backstabbed him.

all good things can come to an end. what if you hop on your favorite server one day and then BAM 512X512 texture pack! if Mojang doesn't want Xray textures they can just remove the ability to have non-opaque textures on opaque blocks and just make a separate terrain.png for translucent textures like glass and leaves.

Probably did it just to force them to fix multiplayer. Besides having it easy to just get someone thrown into your world would be a good solution with upnp. The normal servers would still be updated and be fixed but for those that just want to host their own server and make everything work without doing any more work would be the best. Also I bet this has to do with the mod api and making mods work either in single player or multiplayer without things being all over the place. They are just 12 year olds not understanding this fact.

It was Bone. Pretty much we teamed up, I killed him because there could be only one winner, then he gave the last remaining player "Nod" a full diamond set pretty much removing my entire chance of winning.

Has anyone noticed that Java 7u4 is out of the dev. testing phase?

And the Java 8 dev. preview is still going.
The only one of these that I've actually tried is JRE 8. I can confirm that it works well, though it will sometimes randomly crash as the game starts up or closes. I dunno if I've actually had it crash while in-game, though.
You know, these threads ought to have a rule that requires one to name any texture packs shown in use in any screenshots one posts. There are so many unnecessary post in these threads asking for the names of texture packs that could otherwise have been avoided if people would just say what texture packs they're using...

I'm using the Technic Pack. This tree spawned next to my cave base. It makes Blaze sounds when hostile (it only becomes hostile when you punch it, and closes its eyes again if you go away).
It appears to drop fruit-based Silverfish, which drop "Grub Husks" which have yellow names. The Husks appear to be edible, and appear to apply Regeneration and Resistance when eaten, as well as restoring stamina/hunger or whatever.

I don't know if it still does but if a skeleton fires an arrow near it, the arrow can bounce upward and infinitely bounce until it's killed.

Tectonicus is quite a nice map renderer, especially considering it supports custom textures and blocks. Shame that it can't just create a single high-res image of it all, .html has little use to me when I just want a good overhead render of something that's more detailed than mcmap.

Thaumcraft 1 is the mod. Kill the tree, it gives you Eldritch wood, which you can use to make some stuff. Don't shoot arrows at it though, they'll launch right back at you.

Minecraft just crashed with an "Out of memory" error when I was coming back from the Nether, and I ended up in some random place probably really fucking far away from my portal with no items.

Same question, but with only Smart Movement and RedPower. I would totally start a server for that, but frankly, my internet sucks bad enough to do that.

Why is every single multiplayer server I visit fucking filled to the brim with 9-year-olds who do nothing but grief and swear in all caps. Why. I don't mind some PVP but Jesus Christ enough leave my house alone and shut the fuck up about your shitty cocks.
