    I love VAG

    Edited:

How would you even pull that 7 out without damaging it even more?
I don't even fucking know but we did it. Somehow. Wrapped the towstrap around the drivers rear tire and just pulled it straight sideways out. It looks like it may have either bent that rim a bit or knocked it out of alignment but other than that and his massive exhaust pipes being filled to the brim with dirt and rocks from being pulled backwards, there wasn't any damage at all other than the front bumper and that fender. We drove it ~50 miles to his dorm @ 35 MPH without a single problem at ALL. Lucky son of a bitch if you ask me.

Thanks for the title, by the way :D

So I'm looking to get a Ford 2.3L 4-cylinder for my Pinto. Would I be better off buying a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe and doing an engine swap or trying to find a stand-alone engine?

You might be able to get the engine out of a volvo 240 to work, rumors are that they are interchangeable.

I saw the interior of a Prius a couple days ago. It was actually pretty cool, until I saw this:

That pathetic little thing to the right of the steering wheel? It's the god damn shift knob. Three basic gears, and some mysterious "B" gear.

I couldn't stop laughing at that little stump shift knob

Just get a regular 2.3 lima, buy some head studs, and boost it. Make or find a turbo manifold, buy any old T3 turbo or one of those ebay specials. It's not hard.

Apart from that shift knob I like that interior.

I like where they put the Automatic shifter on the C4 GP, On the Steering column:

One day I will own this car.... One day.

That's a nice interior, but the head unit really looks out of place. Looks like it was snatched out of an 80's Ford.

72 people are "watching" the auction of my E30 on eBay, it's been up there for ~12 hours, didn't really expect it to attract that much attention.

4AM, coming home from drag races, Jap raced his CRX with GSR swap.

65-75MPH down the turnpike, I forget how fast, car spits the fucking halfshaft out of the tranny and we limp it to the side of the road. We're some ~15 miles from my shop or more. It's late. I'm pissed. Jap doesn't carry spare shit in his car.

So we open the trunk and I see what all he's got... A jack, pair of channel-lock pliers, and a spool of something around 10 gauge wire.

So I have him jack up the car, and I crawl under it and shove the half shaft back in, and tie the bracket up using a few strands of the wire. We had to stop and pop the shaft back in two more times but we made it the 15+ mile trip to my shop.

Turns out the bolt holes in the block for the half shaft mount are stripped, to a point enough that the bolts don't ever really "tighten". I use so extremely strong epoxy and run the one tight one in, and then the two loose ones until they get to their tightest point. Then we let it dry for a minute and he took off. Good to go.

Hell of a night, Jap only raced once, against a girl driving a Ford Focus. Kicked her ass though.
